Carla, When I had to do something like that with my horses I would put an alfalfa treat in one hand, and when they went for it, I would douse the necessary area with water. If that doesnt work, get a super-soaker squirt gun. Guaranteed to make your horse never come near you again (you know that last part was a joke). Sorry to hear about your black eye. But at least you weren't knocked out and stepped on!

Many years ago I was kicked three times by a horse. Stupid me was in the middle when the horses got they food. I felt so much pain I went straight to the floor. The pain knocked my feed off the floor. Was in the hospital to check if nothing was broken. At the end nothing was broken but really bad bruises on legs and arms and a hopital bill of over $700.

Since this event I'm a bit scared of horses. But still love them.

I will hang in there Carla, depending on weather it could be an easy 2 weeks, its when they are stuck in the house that all of us go a little mad!

Tinted moisturiser is the best, gives you a tiny bit of colour but you never end up with that overdone look.

Here it looks absolutely fantastic this morning clear blue sky and sun and warm...

Hey ladies, you're going to laugh: my boss has put us all (including himself) on a three-day cleanse! Yep, from Wednesday we're all going to be on smoothies, broths and these weird supplement thingies.

If my usual sweet-tempered and patient demeanour seems missing, then you'll know why.

What your boss is a male and wants to do a cleanse????   Thought this is a woman thing hehe.

I never did a cleanse so you have to tell us how your three days went. If you feel much better after that you need to share everything so we can copy it  

Yea, I'd check his room for contraband before I believe he's going on the cleanse with you!

We're going to start on Monday now. Basically we're all going to eat all three 'meals' together in the office and hopefully that'll keep us all motivated. I'm still very sceptical about these things but it's a nice three-day diet with lots of veggies and juice so I guess it's no bad thing.

Sounds like a good thing. 3 days it´s not so bad. I tried something like that; herbs microgreens, sea weed, wheat grass, seeds, sprouts, legumes, leafy greens, spirulina powder... No salad dressing just cold pressed oils. Healthy yes, but not gourmet. It was suppose to last 2-3 weeks but after couple of days I had sushi and soon pizza...So I couldn´t follow it through. Maybe if it was a group thing...like you are having.

But everything tastes more and better after such diet.

I had a strange dream last night...I won't bore you with details, it was long !

but in one part I looked up and saw a star, and said what's that and one of the ppl around me said " That's Clooney's star".  I asked what is the red light bulb blinking inside it? they said "that is his satellite.....HE IS VERY UNHAPPY WITH IT !" I looked up again and felt very great sadness.

Bizarre, just thought I'd share that bit....everything else just random dream crap.....

I'm sure he is unhappy bec of Darfur/Sudan situation

Oh no, it's not at all imposed! He suggested it and we said we'd like to do it. The timing is just because he happened to be in Thailand last week which is where the product we're using comes from.

More than happy to share updates but I will state on record that I don't believe in this cleanse/detox nonsense. Scientists can't find evidence of so-called toxins (apart from what the body already very efficiently deals with 24-hrs a day) and when the cleanse people name their toxins (such as metals etc), the herbs and stuff they recommend don't affect what they claim to affect [because the people peddling these wares can't tell the difference between wishful thinking, placebo effect and actual results].

I'm doing it because I believe fasting is good for the soul and because I like the idea of eating very lightly for a few days.

Hi Its Me - Hawthorn is playing a team called Fremantle from Perth in the Australian Football League Grand Final, basically we were on top of the ladder all year, won our semi final then went into Grand Final, its a pretty big deal here in Australia - so me and kiddies went to Hawthorns home ground to meet the players and watch them train today - my son follows a different team called Carlton but he was still overjoyed to see them in action.

For anyone interested, the game that we won that took us to the final

iOS 7. I'm not sure I like it. I've lost some apps  My iPad has gone very faint. Plus loads of updates.  They even updated my Bible (don't judge). I must have missed the second coming. While mooning over George. Or maybe they are one and the same!
