I know its terrible, but you know how it is, it kind of creeps up on you and if like me you are madly running around the shops on Christmas Eve trying to find that pink/purple Gremlin that your daughter absolutely must have! Well that was me one very disorganised Christmas.

Yes all sorted. Finding a suitable comfy pet friendly holiday home in the right area for over Christmas takes some researching. So when I found one I grabbed it !
Same goes for a pub open on Christmas Day for lunch.
So there's method in my madness. Lol
Just come back from Cornwall and I'm already looking for somewhere to rent next month.
I do like my holidays by the sea !
Have a good holiday Katie.

Oh i"m sorry. it is beautiful, but I only saw the first pic and it was a bit comical to me. But you're right, it is a work of art, especially given its origin.

Yes, 11,000 years ago. Or 6000 years before Stonehenge.
During Neolithic period. The New Stone Age.
I understand clearly these your videos in Italian, It's Me.

Illegal trafficking of cultural artefacts still continues... Some of these Etrusacan statues had gold inclusions, so quite valuable too.

Oh well I guess that's why they invented botox and dermabrasion (not that Ive tried those)
LOL that's funny. Few weeks ago I had a facial and my beauty therapist was saying that they do now Botox as well. Wonder why she mentioned that to me LOL
Wonder if I will ever try. I think I would be too scared though. I like my weekly mask against aging
I have. Done it twice and like the result (although I don't do the whole face thing, just between the brows) and as long as you go to a good and reputable clinic then you're in good hands. Not sure I'd get it done at a beauticians, though: both times I went, I got it done by doctors at a clinic.theminis wrote:Yep Im too scared to try it too. not of needles but knowing my luck I will end up with a paralysed face and that would be just too stupid.

So you were happy with the result, that's good. I have forehead lines but don't care about them, what I don't like are the lines under the eyes, I think its crows feet but they are more under my eye than at the side. A relative who uses it told me that they can't inject botox there, but may investigate for myself. We have some General Drs here that offer it but its mainly done by a beautician. You have to make sure you go somewhere reputable.

Under the eyes? Hm. I think that requires surgery (bleroplasty or something like that). I assume you've tried the various creams out there already?

Blepharoplasty
Upper eyelid blepharoplasty: The blue-ink delineated surgical plan, and the incisions made to correct a defect of the patient′s upper eyelid.
Blepharoplasty (Greek: blepheron, “eyelid” + plassein “to form”) is the plastic surgery operation for correcting defects, deformities, and disfigurations of the eyelids; and for aesthetically modifying the eye region of the face. With the excision and the removal, or the repositioning (or both) of excess tissues, such as skin and adipocyte fat, and the reinforcement of the corresponding muscle and tendon tissues, the blepharoplasty procedure resolves functional and cosmetic problems of the periorbita, which is the area from the eyebrow to the upper portion of the cheek.
The operative goals of a blepharoplastic procedure are the restoration of the correct functioning to the affected eyelid(s), and the restoration of the aesthetics of the eye-region of the face, which are achieved by eliminating excess skin from the eyelid(s), smoothing the underlying eye muscles, tightening the supporting structures, and resecting and re-draping the excess fat of the retroseptal area of the eye, in order to produce a smooth anatomic transition from the lower eyelid to the cheek.
In an eye surgery procedure, the usual correction or modification (or both) is of the upper and the lower eyelids, and of the surrounding tissues of the eyebrows, the upper nasal-bridge area, and the upper portions of the cheeks, which are achieved by modifying the periosteal coverings of the facial bones that form the orbit (eye socket). The periosteum comprises two-layer connective tissues that cover the bones of the human body: (i) the external layer of networks of dense, connective tissues with blood vessels, and (ii) the internal, deep layer of collagenous bundles composed of spindle-shaped cells of connective tissue, and a network of thin, elastic fibres.

Yep I have tried lots of creams, I don't have a lot but it would nice if they vanished, crows feet I can live with as I call them my smiley lines. A friend suggested collagen injections to plump it up so I get really bothered by them I may try that. I have no idea what bleroplasty is so will google that.

Re: JUNE CHIT CHAT
In UK we dial 999 for police emergencies, similar to 911 in USA.
But some people have to abuse the system, of course !
Two sets of parents dialled 999 to complain their children wouldn't go to bed when told.
The calls are among the latest examples of people contacting the police for bizarre, trivial or frankly irresponsible reasons.
Out-of-tune carol singers and noisy love-making have also prompted people to phone the emergency services, according to data released by South Yorkshire Police.
Det Sgt Nigel Taaffe said: "If you had your children's friends over and one went to the toilet in your Wendy house, most people would just clean it up. But we had someone ring the police.
"If your 14-year-old daughter has got her brand new expensive trainers muddy and her friends are laughing, most people would not ring us. But, again, someone did."
Other examples of time-wasting emergency calls include:
- One man in Rotherham phoning to tell police that his neighbour dislikes him because he used to jump on a trampoline wearing a dress.
- A woman complaining she was unable get films with her Sky TV card.
- A man who said he was in Newcastle for the weekend and woke up in his hotel to find his trousers were missing.
- A caller complaining about a big brown dog they have seen running around. It had not been aggressive towards anyone, but the caller was concerned about the creature's size.
- A man letting the police know that he had found some driving documents that he thought he had previously lost.
South Yorkshire Police is now sending letters and threatening legal action against those who consistently waste their time and resources.
Det Sgt Taaffe added: "We're highlighting the fact that they are taking up the valuable time of officers and call handlers."
People should call 999 only in emergencies. To report less urgent crimes or for general police enquiries, people should dial 101.

HI Mazy - I moved it for you, son is okay now it was a mild asthma attack and I managed it but just wanted him checked - they gave him oxygen for 20 mins in the treatment room and a dose of prednisone as in my panic I forgot to do that, although its a bit hard to get a child to swallow medicine when they are having trouble breathing. He had a mild flu last week so I expected his asthma to flare up then, not when he was better, oh well he keeps me on my toes for sure.
