Hypothetical: If George Married Stacy

What would your reaction be?

I refuse to vote but I can always comment

If i subsequently found out he married her
one of these weekends
I would take it very calmly, you know, like adults. No problem.
It wouldn´t bother me at all.
I would sleep well, like a baby (waking up many times per night crying and screaming)

If George ever married Stacy I'd be looking up at the sky for flying pigs or aliens because I think that would be more believable.

It would change my point of view.
If he married her, he would show that this relationship is something very special and also it would look like it actually MEANT something.
The way he appears with his girlfriends nowadays and in the past always made me think he does not really care and he feels not very close to them.
But if he gave up his public playboy image this would enoble her to a certain point and force people to show more respect to her.
He would make a clear statement that this woman means a lot to him.
I would stay away from her threads, because you do not make fun of the wife of a man you like.
But I thought of doing that anyway or at least stop commenting there the way I did after the discussion with Lighterside.
After re-reading our conversation the other day I think Lighterside was right in many points and I do respect her for standing up and ask people to be nicer. Just the way she did it to me I felt like a little cat pushed with the nose into something left outside the litter box, that's why I reacted the way I did.

If he were in love with her would be fine, I do not like Stacy and I do not like anything, but I see him happy enough. George has eyes that speak and his eyes never spoke of love but even affection for Stacy! Or maybe I became deaf and blind?

That she's no different from any of the others? That his standards are exceedingly low? How about "She appears in soft core porn films - and he goes out with her" (Elisabetta); "She has her picture taken with her legs wrapped around another man at a club - and he goes out with her" (Sarah). He smiled with all of them, they all had their own friends and own lives.

Although I don't think all of the statements about Stacy are correct. The social media mentions of him, the explicit ones like "you know it's love" and "a certain Bengals fan got me this cake", got shut down with a quickness. There hasn't been a mention of him that explicit since early last year, at least not that I've seen. Even the tweets about his events that she attends are about HER experience there; he doesn't appear in words or in photos. Nor do I think that the football team she roots for has any bearing in his decision to stay or go. She's definitely the only one who is taller in her heels though.

Let's talk about how a relationship can be:

My boyfriend had no job and no money when he moved into my small appartment - and I loved him.

My boyfriend wasn't taller than me, when I was wearing heels - and I loved him.

My boyfriend said after studying and finding a new job " You do not need to work anymore, I earn enough money" - and I loved him.

My boyfriend was a fanatic soccer player - and I loved him.

My boyfriend didn't go anywhere without me - and I loved him.

That sounds lovely. Although there is a world of difference between "I loved him" and "he goes out with her".

Voted he must love her but his taste in women stinks. Or whatev it said, but I agree with Missa.

Sarah, Eli (and I'll add Krista and Ginger) he went out with all of them too.

But really I think this is a moot poll cause George ain't getting married. But it's interesting to see what others here would do.

Moot point, yes, but always fun to speculate.

At the end of the day, it comes down to how we feel when we are with the person, not how much she/he brings to the table.

Can see them in a longer relationship than his norm, but marriage? At 51 when ask on Red carpet about their romance, all he could say was "We are having fun" doesn't sound like he's ready for vows.

If George married Stacy or any other woman, I would say that his so called "demons" are finally put to rest and he could trust again. That would be good for him and he certainly has been around and would only pick a woman if he was as sure as he could be about the relationship. I would say God Bless and good luck!

I'm not just talking his money. I'm talking about the package - the whole package... from the looks, to the sense of humor, to the crinkly laugh-lines, to the smile, to the lifestyle, to the package, to the experience he's had with that package (have yet to hear any woman complain in that department), to the long eye-lashes, to the hair, to the humanitarian efforts, to the kind heart, to the loyalty, that's all part of the package of what he brings to the table.

The only problem I see is that he keeps wasting it on women who just don't measure up when it comes to potential long-lasting relationships. I don't mean necessarily marriage - but geez Louise - three years seems to be the max for all of them lately so I'm guessing that he's probably getting bored with them but who's fault is that? George's of course because he keeps picking looks over substance. JMO

Dior I think this is a big reason why people DON'T show her respect. I know her past choices are also part of the negative commentary about her - but it's almost a subliminal message that George sends too. Since he also seems to be saying that she's not good enough for HIM to marry either.

I think this gives some of his fans license to be nasty. I've made negative comments about her but not as much as some of his other girlfriends. For me, again, it's based on their actions.

Katiedot did make a good point somewhere on this blog - that people can change and she asked if they should be held accountable for the rest of their lives for past choices or indiscretions. I think that's a fair question and point to make.

I just wish this wasn't always an issue with the gals George spends time with. So I also feel George's poor choices will continue to perpetuate the negative comments.

But I think that's the whole point of picking these type of gals. Even HE doesn't think they're good enough to marry - which is exactly what he wants from a woman.

Just look good on a red carpet, be friends who are "having fun" with I'm sure benefits and don't ask for any long term commitment from him.

I'd be happy if just once in public he would respect the GF of his choice by behaving as if she is important to him, not just the newest arm candy.

I think that's never gone happend , he goes out with young womans [bimbos] he will not change now at 51. She is the new arm candy ,an then he will have another arm candy an other so quickly get your names in the list ..

After two years you have learned a lesson from failed startup and you are ready to move on.
