George Clooney produced Argo wins at Screen Actors Guild Awards

I just caught the end of the nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award being presented on January 27th 2013. Argo got a cast nomination. No Best Male or Female Actor, although Alan Arkin got a nod for his supporting role in Argo. Since it is an Actor's award I am sure GC won't be there.

Enjoyed this movie, but with all the competition this year can't see it winning much.

I tell ya who looked dumbfounded - Jessica Chastain when Jennifer Lawrence beat her out for Best Female Actor in a Leading Role! Now THAT was a shocker! But I'm glad Jennifer won!

Just one question for those in the know. Since the Argo cast won best ensemble does that mean that they all get a statuette? I mean Ben mentioned there were over 150 actors in that film. I mean would that many folks each get a statuette or just the main characters in the film?

Just wondering cause I don't know much about the SAG awards

I can't believe they've won so many awards. I mean that in a good way, as in I didn't even dare to hope they'd do this well. Now it's just the Oscars to go, right?

Actually there is the DGA too. That is on Feb 2nd.

I was reading that the SAG is not as great an indicator of an Oscar as the PGA was. Yet it is still amazing how well they are doing.
