We've heard of girlfriends leaving bridal magazines on their boyfriends' coffee tables.

Stacy Keibler's possible proposal ploy? Trying on an engagement ring for all the world to gawk.

A sans-George Clooney Keibler slipped a sizable yellow rock onto the fourth finger of her left hand Friday night, Sept. 14, at the launch of Jacob & Co.'s new Palladium line. Clooney's better half of one year grins for the cameras as she models the bauble. The 32-year-old's choice of attire? A white dress. (So it was mini. And fringed.)

It was just earlier this week that Clooney's rep, Stan Rosenfield, quashed the rumor that the couple were no more: "A story published by a London tabloid, The Sun, concerning George Clooney and Stacy Keibler is not true. Total fabrication designed to sell newspapers."

It's me, I'm sorry you can't pick up the video from laetval. There's nothing new here, just going over George's past relationships and stories of his splits. They seem to think Stacy's shelf life is about over though.

Rumors have been flying around that George Clooney and his model girlfriend Stacy Keibler have split and although his rep denies it, our sources are saying that the couple have indeed called it quits as far back as last month!

The Oscar-winning actor is known for not being able to commit to long term relationships which doesn’t surprise us that this relationship has only lasted about a year.

The actor has already headed to Oklahoma alone to start his next big project which is producing the film “August: Osage County” which stars Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep.

I've never heard of this site before, so I don't know how reliable they are, but the story doesn't sound outrageous. It's been at least a month since the Venice trip, which was the last time there was photographic evidence of them together. Judging by the various tweets and photos and press pieces abut their whereabouts during that time, it's entirely possible it was the last time they were together. It seems hard to believe there have been under the radar flights from Europe to the US and back again, or from NYC to LA and back, just to see each other, although I suppose it could have happened. A month is a long time to be apart if they haven't broken up.

Well on this thread maybe it is a parallel universe, George and Stacy split (unannounced), Steve-O and Elisabetta split (unannounced).... SAME TIMING.... Don't any of these people ever believe in direct communication, or they handle everything through press releases or gossip tabloids?

Celebrities maybe not parallel universe, but living on different planets from the rest of us mere mortals.

Once you've watched a pig grow up as a child and seen it thru a childs eyes, it doesn't look the same. When someone kills you favorite pet, and talks about eating it, you start guarding your other pets more carefully. No matter what reason they gave for killing and trying to make you eat it too. It took a few years to forget and forgive that.

I assume the "announcement" of the split will come after his attendance at the Hope Gala in Oct. After that event, there are no forseeable red carpets situations for months for him which allows him to avoid the press junket aspect of attending events, film premieres and award shows who would all ask about his private life and the details of the split. This way there is no distraction in respect to the award he is getting and George remains the focus/talk of the night, not his most recent break-up.

I was thinking the same thing watching. Which means she will probably be at the event because if she isn't then the questions will still be there. Or they still are together but are just not being seen together. Except for us I am not sure if anyone really cares, which makes their games so silly.

Isn't it just that George is busy working and Stacy is keeping busy ?

Obviously, time will tell whether there's a split or not and they are entitled to deal with personal things in their own way IMO.

Agreed Joanna - I think one of the things George likes about Stacy is that she's more independent and less demanding on him. To be separated for long periods wouldn't be normal for us regular folks but this is show biz and they have their own standards.

Wish George would do SOMETHING interesting so we don't have to talk about her all the time. LOL

I think it depends on how the question was posed. If it was "Do you cook?" and she came out with stories about how she and George love to cook together, then probably not. But from the phrasing of the answer ("she 'admitted' that they cook"), it's possible it was a more explicit "Do you and George like to cook?" question. It seems like she said yes and moved the answer quickly to how she learned from watching the Food Network, yada, yada. Since we don't have a video, we don't know, but I would think if they really do like to cook together, and ARE together, the answer would have included some dishes they prefer or are their specialities. She moved the answer away from talking about George right quick, much more quickly than she would have a few months ago.

I also took the Eataly comment as a "Wow, this place I'm eating in now is great. Why don't we have one back home in L.A.?" Could be she's in LA and missing it though, you're right.

I completely agree with you on all counts Missa, and I thought that she was at the Eataly in NY and was asking why they dont have one in LA. Seems odd that if she ate there days ago she would suddenly tweet it now. If she was in LA and missing wonderful Italian food would she not reminisce about the food she had in Como?

supposedly as per twitter she had lunch on Sunday with a bunch of girls one of who was Joanna Garcia. According to Joanne's twitter page she flew to New York on Saturday. Seems Stacy is still in NY. How long has she been there, 3-4 weeks????
