Re: August chit chat
You know how I am always posting during working hours?....I always say I am bored....well I am bored no more....they eliminated my position so after being out of work for 4 years then finally finding a job I am again unemployed. I might have hated the job but at least it was a job. I can't say anything too much to the people around me because I am trying to close on my house....It is in my parents name and I needed to buy out a sibling I am not talking to in order to stay here....this has not been a banner start of a week....not sure what I am going to do but if I say anything more snarky than usual please excuse me....thanks for letting me vent....

silly girl -
I agree with Joanna - no need to apologizing for venting. We're tough and as mel famously said once, "we CAN handle the truth!"
Am sorry to hear you lost your job. Times are so tough right now for so many people. If I may, I do have a job tip for you. It's like one of those open secrets.
In the field of Corrections, there are always openings. Do you have any jails or prisons nearby or within commuting distance? If so, may I suggest you look into it? It would be a state government job and one that is relatively secure, since we will ALWAYS have criminals.
There are WAY more job positions than just correctional officer, many of which are entry level. I started out as a paralegal, then it 'morphed' into librarian. I had my college degree, which made a difference, but I've known SEVERAL women who started as entry level office assistants who are now in much better positions. A state job may requiree a civil service test, and it's best to get that ball rolling as soon as possible.
If I can be of any assistance to you, feel free to PM me and good luck in whatever you pursue. AND keep us posted!!

I'm so sorry too silly girl on your job loss. I hope unemployment can help you through this rough spot. I don't know what type of job you had but perhaps a job as a sales associate may tide you over until you get something in your field.

The Perseid meteor shower is visible from mid-July each year, with the peak in activity being between August 9 and 14, depending on the particular location of the stream. During the peak, the rate of meteors reaches 60 or more per hour. They can be seen all across the sky, but because of the path of Swift-Tuttle's orbit, Perseids are primarily visible in the northern hemisphere. As with all meteor showers, the rate is greatest in the pre-dawn hours, since the side of the Earth nearest to turning into the sun scoops up more meteors as the Earth moves through space.

(of course how this day is going all I will need to hear is that GC got married and is having a baby.... )

Silly Girl, I hope you will find a new job soon.
To all the others: Thank you for your kind words about my bear and voting for him.
I made him in the style that I normally use for my George-bears, but I thought G wouldn't mind to go as the top scorer of the last World Cup, exspecially as Thomas has a really great personality.

Congratulations Natascha! How exciting!
And I'm so sorry about the job SillyGirl. It must be so incredibly frustrating. Got my fingers crossed you can re-enter the working world super quick and that you still get your mortgage.

Silly girl - i wish you all the best of luck -
may I please vent a little - had a shocker few days. My beautiful little girl woke up early Monday morning with her face covered in blood - truly scary - rushed her to the hospital that did her tonsillectomy and had to wait in Emergency for 4 hours for a doctor to check her!!! When they checked her, told me that her throat had a few blood clots that could hemmorage at any minute but that the hospital was not equipped to deal with that so did I mind waiting a little bit longer whilst they rang around to find her a bed in another hospital that had a specialist Ear Nose and Throat surgeon on call!!! So rushed her to another hospital (apparently not serious enough to send her in an ambulance) where a fabulous surgeon was waiting, checked her, said it could develop into an emergency situation but that he wanted to wait and see if her body was able to heal itself first (very risky to put her under anesthetic so soon). Thank GOD literally as of 5 hours ago, all the blood pooling around her blood clots has dissappeard so surgeon thinks danger has passed but they are keeping her there for another night of observation. Hubby is staying with her this time as I have had very little sleep for 8 nights and can't think straight. Also if I collapse from exhuastion then the whole family falls apart. Surgeon told me that my little one is the 1% of children that have a reaction to anethesia and have a spontaneous bleed. My little girl is not happy with me at all, just hope the memory of this week fades for her. And if I never have to sit there and hold her down whilst they put an IV in her hand again I will be very thankful to GOD. So I'm thinking she's very lucky at the moment that surgery has been delayed so going to count that as a blessing. Sorry guys for going on a bit here, its been tough, I have family members blaming me for this as they dont believe she should have had the procedure done in the first place, I know they are worried but its not nice being criticised when you are so worried. Well tomorrows another day and hopefully a better one. xx

Oh theminis! What a nightmare!!! And I can't believe they did not transport your daughter by ambulance to the other hospital! Thank God she stopped hemorrhaging!!
You need rest, dear, even if you don't feel like you could sleep, you should lay down in a quiet place. And eat something!! It won't due to have you get sick on top of everything else. You've been under tremendous stress and that takes a huge toll on the body.
Stay positive and come here and vent anytime! If nothing else, we're great listeners! Be brave, like the video encourages above. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Oh my, what a week everyone's having! Sorry about your daughter's new adventure, the minis. It sounds like she'll be fine but what a worry for you. And you can tell those critics that better she finds out now during a routine operation that she's allergic to the aneasthetic than at some future point when it might be critical.

Re: August chit chat
Hi Everyone - On the way to hospital to see our daughter and take over from hubby when my car broke down (in the rain of course) had to get a taxi the rest of the way, did think to myself what else can go wrong this week!!, I so need some good news - well yipee and hooray - got to hospital and saw my daughter looked better, more cheerful and surgeon came and told us that although their are blood clots still, he believes she is out of danger - so SHE IS NOW HOME - broken car paled into insignificance when I found out my bella una is able to leave hospital - also picked up my 2 year old and 6 year old and got home faster than the speed of light!!
Its me - when you said the hugs were from G I laughed out loud -
Bluebelle - hope you are right - that she will forget
Lakin - Katie - All - thanks for kind words/wishes.
Silly girl - haven't read all the posts yet but still thinking of you

Great Stickers - if I had an iphone would definately want that case.
It's Me - 3 kids under 6, not sure if it makes me a hero or insane - the jury is still out on that!! Its interesting for sure, but could not imagine my life different (well except for the odd fantasy where I am swanning around Villa Oleandra with the scrumptious Mr Clooney).
Also our OB is 6foot3 tall, delicious to look at, compassionate, supportive, amazing and drives an Austin Martin to work!. Only mention the car as fast sexy cars are my thing! My hubby said to him during my 5 months of bed rest in hospital with baby Number 1 that "my wife is in love with you, I think, but thats okay so am I, and we want you to know than when this baby is born we are naming him after you" magical moment.
Now I have to spend some time catching up on all the Clooney goss - if I read anywhere on this site that he's gotten married - you will hear my body thump to the floor from whereever in the world you may be !!!
