I don't believe much reported by the media. I never knew he had two pigs either. They could have assumed Stacy lives there due to the two pictures of her shown in his house on the video. However, I do believe that Stacy is either living with him or has lived with him. This is just MO based on all the pictures she posted that were obviously taken from his house, pictures of her running near his house, etc. If they are still together and she is living there it could explain her trip to NY. She either wanted or was needed to get out of the way so the house could be secured and readied for the dinner tonight. I have been to two events (one dinner and the theatre) when a current President was present. I was actually there part of the time when they were setting up for the dinner. It is incredible what it takes to prepare for an event like that. The Secret Service has to examine everything in the area, right down to the dinnerware.

Does that mean if I lived in G's neighborhood, I couldn't have house guests that night? A renter wouldn't be able to come home from work? The carpool driver can't drop off a child after nightly practice?

Just because SK occasionally spends the night doesn't mean she's living there. There are more than 8 bedrooms to choose from anyway.

I hope that everything goes well tonight for George and President Obama.

The weather in LA tonight is supposed to be in the 60's and clear. That's the same temp we have here in NJ.

Davida, I don't know about a house guest for that area but residents will have to show a photo ID to be allowed to go to their homes.

Of course I understand the importance of security for Obama but I was just wondering if G's neighbors had to go through background checks too. And everyone complains about frequent presidential visits to Las Vegas. Traffic is tied up everywhere all day, public transportation doesn't work, lots of people literally end up losing their jobs. Wish that there was a better way.

As was noted by bellybaby, monies for Presidential security come from taxpayer money. There is heavy security like this whenever the President travels. How do I know this? Why, I just saw a fascinating program detailing Presidential Transport on "America's Book of Secrets."

I live a little east of where the madness will take place, so I am hoping that when I hop on Ventura Blvd to go to work later this afternoon the traffic isn't too awful. I suppose I'd better leave a little early, just in case. Tons of helicopters buzzing about earlier this morning.

I hope it's a fabulous evening for everyone involved!

Good grief davida, having to go through a background check just because you're a neighbor? Because that sounds like something that might end up being a law suit. You know, civil liberties and all that.

Joanna, take note of that as it looks like the accusations are unfounded.

I hope you can access it. They said the "opening reception" will be at the front of the house and the "main reception" is at the back, on the basketball court. That's where the DJ will be. So there will be music.

If you go to the Forum page and click on Things You Need to Know First, there is a thread that teaches you how to post pics and another teaching how to post videos.

It's 6:25 p.m. Pacific time and the local news has just shown the President arrive on Air Force One. He just got into the helicopter and has taken off to get closer the venue.

Of course, they are not saying where he will be landing and from where he will drive to George's house but if I were running the show I'd have him use the studio back lot at Warner's which would put him within a five minute drive to George's house. Pending of course, no traffic which should be a given considering that they'll have police escort closing cross streets.

But that's all conjecture on my part. For all I know they could land him in the Vons parking lot if they wanted to! HA!

Obama reminded the crowd that his famed Hope poster from the 2008 was derived from a photograph of Obama sitting next to Clooney when Obama was a U.S. senator. Clooney had been in Washington advocating on behalf of Darfur.

LOS ANGELES — George Clooney played the suave host, Chef Wolfgang Puck whipped up something for dinner, and President Barack Obama and about 150 of his Hollywood set donors enjoyed a few laughs at Clooney's good humored expense.

Obama reminded the crowd that his famed Hope poster from the 2008 was derived from a photograph of Obama sitting next to Clooney when Obama was a U.S. senator. Clooney had been in Washington advocating on behalf of Darfur.

"This is the first time that George Clooney has been photo-shopped out of a picture," Obama said. "Never happened before, never happen again."

In this crowd, Obama didn't even need to mention gay marriage to get a vigorous applause. "Obviously," the president said obliquely, "yesterday we made some news."

The event, held under a stretched transparent tent outside Clooney's sprawling tudor-styled canyon home, raised nearly $15 million, a record for a single fundraiser.

The guests paid $40,000 to attend, accounting for about $6 million of the evening's financial haul for Obama's campaign and the Democratic Party. The remainder came from a raffle for small dollar donors. Two winners — both women — got to take part in the dinner and, even though Clooney was the host, they brought their husbands.
