       Guessing that this is a UN Ukraine trip/Columbia visit and Baria to visit son.......

Why do they always have to focus on what Amal is wearing??? I could understand if she were at a premiere with George but she's landing in Jersey!!

She's often seen jet-setting around the world with her husband George Clooney.
But Amal Clooney appeared to be charting her own course on Tuesday, when she was spotted landing at New Jersey's Teterboro Airport after a flight aboard a private jet.
The 44-year-old human rights lawyer cut a casual yet chic figure in a long gray overcoat as she disembarked in the company of her mother Baria Alamuddin.

Amal looked classy in the double-breasted overcoat, but she dressed it down by wearing a white T-shirt with text on the chest under it.

She paired the casual item with a set of flared gray–blue jeans with a noticeable sheen.


Baria had on a loose-fitting black top and matching black pants, but she added a splash of color with her lustrous magenta boots.
She also carried a soft pink coat with dangling tassels over her arm as she and her daughter deplaned.

Later in the evening, Amal appeared to be in a great mood as she was spotted arriving at her hotel in New York City, though it wasn't clear if her mother was joining her.
The British–Lebanese barrister stayed casual with white sneakers, and she added a splash of color to her otherwise-muted look with her bright red nails.
She completed her ensemble with a large black leather bag with metal studs on the seams, and she wore her long dark tresses parted down the middle in thick waves that framed her modestly made-up face and her chunky black sunglasses. 
Despite the interest in her high-profile marriage to George Clooney, Amal tends to be fairly private when it comes to their relationship, but she departed from her norm last month in an interview with Time.

Casual: She wore lustrous gray–blue flared jeans with it and carried a black tote bag on her arm. Her wavy dark locks were parted down the middle to frame her black sunglasses
She gushed about her connection to the Oscar winner and raising their four-year-old twins Alexander and Ella.
'Marriage has been wonderful. I have in my husband a partner who is incredibly inspirational and supportive, and we have a home filled with love and laughter,' she said. 'It is a joy beyond anything I could ever have imagined. I feel so lucky to have found a great love in my life, and to be a mother — this is how I get my balance.'
The world-famous lawyer also opened up about what drove her to focus on human rights cases.
'I’m responding to what I see happening in the world. A world where the guilty are free, and the innocent are imprisoned — where the human-rights abusers are free, and those who report on the abuses are locked up,' she said.
'As a lawyer, I can do something about that. Or I can at least try. So my work is focused on trying to help liberate victims and prosecute perpetrators — and by extension, our foundation’s work is trying to really do that at scale and globally.'

Why did they need a private jet??  Jets, boats, sure doing their part for the environment.

I think with covid still around and people not having their shots it is a safer option for them. I would think they paid for their carbon foot print that was used during the flight.

I can understand the private jet. Not only due to Covid but I'm sure they are pestered to death on commercial flights. They can't even take a nap without someone shoving a cell phone up their nose. I just tired of the Amal wardrobe commentary all the time. Like she has no other skills or value!

I have a feeling that private jets are better for the environment (smaller) than large commercial ones, and in George and Amal's case, much more secure.

   And Amal's overall attention from the paps about her wardrobe is probably something that she goes along with/accepts cos it helps bring publicity to the causes that she's involved in

PP- They look brand new. Maybe that's why she hasn't learned how to tie them so they don't come untied. The jeans look brand new,too. The shine is sizing that hasn't been washed out yet. They'll be a lot more comfy after a couple of washes.

PAN - I can think of a lot of reasons for them to use private jets, but if they flew commercial it would mean one less plane (the private jet) in the air.

What's with the angle of her body in the picture at the hotel?  It looks like her legs aren't under her torso, not positioned to hold her up.

Way2 - I think it's just that her coat is twisted. If you look under the coat she seems to be standing straight, but with her right arm turned a bit away from her body the coat is pulled to that side.

As far as we know she didn't fall over. I'm sure it would have made headlines if she did!

Yeah, I think you're right. All she'd need is for her crooked legs to trip over her untied new shoes.

I just keep thinking that with two 4 year old kids she'd know how to tie a shoe. Maybe that's George's job!

So none of you have had your sneakers come untied wow. Maybe, since she was at her hotel she didn't bother to tie them
as she was about to take them off or she untied them in the car.

Annemarie - Relax. We're just messin' around. Amal's still Wonder Woman. I'm guessing she didn't even realize her shoe was untied.

No lizzy she isn't wonder woman she is a woman like all of us, who has been blessed to have an incredible life.

I'm not Amal bashing at all. I think she's drop dead gorgeous. I'm thrilled that George married such a brilliant woman.

I just get tired of the press focusing on every single piece of apparel she wears.
Like I said before, it's one thing when they are both at a premiere and dressed to the nines. However, the paparazzi seem to focus on her wardrobe ALL THE TIME!! Some of her outfits I can understand but they do it even when she is just out and wearing jeans and sneakers! I haven't decided if she's very classy and accommodating or if she enjoys the attention.

Party Animal is correct about Amal tolerating it because it brings more attention to their causes. I think I read that somewhere myself. I am just incredulous that any person would tolerate such an intrusion into their private life. I'd be giving the paparazzi the middle finger salute every chance I got.

Ida, I'm sure there are times she'd like to do just that! I think George has taught her well how to deal with the press since there's no way they'll ever get rid of them.
