George and Amal Clooney were spotted out in New York again on Friday for their fifth wedding anniversary.
The outing followed a hectic day on Thursday, where the pair enjoyed a double date with Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, a few hours after Amal had appeared at the United Nations where she addressed a meeting of high-level officials from 20 countries who convened to discuss placing ISIS fighters on trial in Iraq.
On Friday, the human rights lawyer emerged from a West Village townhouse looking carefree in a black miniskirt and matching jacket, paired with below-the-knee chunky heeled boots and a pink top.
Worn with a red manicure and loose ringlets in her hair, it made a big difference to the serious black suit she had worn for work duties on Thursday.
The 41-year-old's husband, 58, opted for a casual look that almost mirrored their appearance the previous night.

George appeared in faded blue jeans and a Polo shirt similar to the color of a button-down he smartened up with the night before to dine at 4 Charles Prime Rib steakhouse.
The American actor - who fathers two-year-old twins Ella and Alexander with British-Lebanese barrister Amal - paired it with suede shoes as he led the way down steps into the Big Apple street.
Ever the gentleman, George ushered his wife into a vehicle outside the red-brick home.
The couple covered their eyes with dark sunglasses after celebrating their relationship milestone with Gerber, 57, and Crawford, 53, who are parents to model children Kaia, 18, and Presley, 20.
In 2016, the Clooneys bought a home in the same Midtown Manhattan One Hundred East Fifty Third Street tower as Gerber and Crawford. The close friends collectively sold a compound their two homes were on in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for $100million in 2017.
Legendary supermodel Crawford was snapped carrying salads from Sweetgreen on Friday following Thursday night's meal and the Clooneys may have had the same idea to load up on greens in NYC as the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly continued.

On Thursday, Mrs Clooney sat next to Dutch Foreign Minister Stef Blok, who has taken the initiative of setting up possible tribunals for some 20,000 ISIS members.
Blok is working alongside his Iraqi counterpart, Ali Alhakim, who helped organize a meeting that included diplomats from 20 countries, according to the Dutch news site NRC.
There are an estimated 20,000 ISIS fighters in Iraq - 1,000 of them being foreigners from European and other Western countries.
For years, Mrs Clooney has represented ethnic Yazidi women who were taken captive and forced into sexual slavery by ISIS.
Yazidis are a minority community in Iraq who were recognized by the UN as victims of genocide by ISIS.
Mrs Clooney represents Yazidi women and girls who were held in the house of Umm Sayyaf, the wife of Islamic State financier Abu Sayyaf.

Kayla Mueller, an American humanitarian aid worker, was also held there for a time. In February 2015, reports surfaced indicating that she had been killed while in ISIS captivity.
Amal Clooney has long advocated that ISIS fighters and officials responsible for crimes against Yazidi women and girls be brought to trial.
Clooney also made an appearance at the UN on Tuesday to speak out about press freedoms.
She told a panel that journalists worldwide faced danger in countries with unstable political climates.
'Our research targets laws being used every day to punish journalists for their work,' Clooney said.
'Laws like criminal libel, vague or overboard hate speech laws, so-called fake news laws, and laws that muzzle the media by imposing arbitrary conditions on ownership, accreditation and funding.'

Re: George and Amal leave home(?) in West Village NYC
The bigger the kids get the more space they need . I think the apartment was an investment Rande and George both
buy real estate. They bought the apartment before having the kids it is way too small for all of them. Cindy and Rande own a big apartment near Central Park I believe and I never heard anything about them
selling it.
I don't think she is wearing a mini skirt it looks like a skort to me.

Mm, me too, Annemarie.
The Mail have done the right thing here and linked the story to the ISIS trials news from the work she's been doing with the Dutch and Iraq on this. (or maybe that was a pre-condition for the pix)

Re: George and Amal leave home(?) in West Village NYC
It could be just me, BUT....
I expect a violinist to have a good ear...
I expect a chef to have exceptional taste buds....
I expect a good Lawyer to show good judgement....
Oh my darlings... you let me down again .... I expect so much better from you ... not personally! but when you put yourselves out there, front and central on the biggest platform on Gods good earth (The UN), for pities sake don’t decide to join a “girl band” within a week....
Bad judgment and even worse taste ... open to criticism? or are we inviting it? ...

Annemarie - I'm not sure that a townhouse in the Village would afford them that much more space, and it certainly affords them a lot less privacy.
If you're right about them buying the apartment as an investment then I'm really pissed at him. There is a shortage of affordable housing in this city for the people who live and work here. The last thing we need is more jet-setters pulling real estate off the affordable market. If these people didn't keep paying ridiculous amounts of money for apartments that will sit empty most of the time, developers might build more housing for the people who actually need them.

Re: George and Amal leave home(?) in West Village NYC
I think it would give them more space as far as a back yard. Some of those town houses are huge on the inside.
i don't blame George or Rande for investing in real estate. The people who build these buildings wouldn't build affordable
housing anyway. They wouldn't make as much money from it. This from the idiot in the White House.
As for what she is wearing she is out with George not at the U.N. We all know she knows how to dress for work and does so quite well. She is no different than any other woman who enjoys clothing. If she dressed like that to go to work that would definitely be a problem.
Lizzy here is a link to an article on why no lower income housing is being built.

Re: George and Amal leave home(?) in West Village NYC
Yes exactly, Pan they may have sold it it was too small for them and the twins plus staff.
We don't know everything they do. I would guess the owners wouldn't want it known that they sold it.

Re: George and Amal leave home(?) in West Village NYC
Annemrie - Thanks for the link. I haven't had time to read the article yet, but I will.
Somehow I don't think they've sold the apartment, although I don't think they've ever stayed there. so why hold onto it. I can't imagine it wouldn't have made the real estate pages if they did sell. All the other celebrity real estate deals do.
