I need some help on this board!

Hi everyone

I'm loving all the wonderful people and many opinions on this board, but I have to admit this got bigger than i was ever expecting it to, and with travel and a full time job, it's getting a bit hard for me to manage.

With that in mind, I'm looking for anyone who would like to volunteer a bit of time every day to come on this board as a moderator.

The duties? Pretty easy:
- to move misplaced threads or posts to the correct forum.
- to merge / delete duplicate posts or threads.
- to add pictures to anyone's post where they've linked to pictures but not posted the pictures on the forum.
- to add videos to anyone's post where they've linked to a video but not embedded it in their post.
- to edit posts where someone's linked to a story but not posted the story itself.
- to edit posts where someone's posted or linked in a foreign language but not posted the translation.
- on very rare occasion delete spam or completely unacceptable posts.

I'm looking for someone who visits this board pretty much on a daily basis and feels comfortable to edit/move/merge/delete/insert video/insert pictures into posts.

I can teach you how do all that stuff but a little confidence to begin with would be good.

Atalante, yes we did want more posters, and IMO they are a nice addition to our family, besides when the newbies initially joined only a few post threads on a daily basis, and not all comment everyday.
Katiedot my computer skills are not up to competing with most kindergartners, so I would be of no help to you.

Katie, I'd love to help but you would probably be hitting rock bottom with me after I put 3 posts on wrong threads. I'm not really computer savy but I'm sure if I had directions I could handle it along with help from another volunteer.

Katie, I'm new and yet I'm not. I'll think about this. My computer skills aren't great but I am good at learning. Give me a few days and I'll get back with you by PM or email or something. I SO appreciate what you are saying about the forum getting to be a time hog. I also echo each and every "thank you" sent your way.

I am so illiterate when it comes to computer stuff, so I would be absolutely NO good. However, I want to take a second of your time and again say THANK YOU!!!! for doing such an outstanding job. I'm very proud of you and what you've done here!

I'm not computer illiterate and am a mod on a Cdn biker forum but this forum moves very quickly and I barely have time to read and post, let alone mod the forum. I'm not sure how much help I would be able to give.

Unfortunately, I cannot help as a moderator. I have been having a "break" from experiments this week, but I will have meetings later this week to take over one or possibly 2 other projects in the lab.

What I see in the duties are easy for me. I'm a computer expert, normal it's what I'm doing!

This board is awesome!!! I learned how to post recently. As you see I haven't conquered avitar's. Everyone here is so nice and willing to help. I hope this board stays around for a long time.
