Saw it on the news yesterday. I think they're laying the blame on the Chechen Islamists. Apparently nobody's immune from this.

He was like the male version of Joan Rivers. Or maybe she was the female version of him. Their style of humor set them apart from everyone else. To me they were much funnier than many of the young comics today.

Embarrassed to say that I still don't know who Don Rickles is (or was, I guess).
There was this lovely quote by Nina Clooney about George when he was a child to the effect of they thought he was going to be another Don Rickles but turned out to be (someone else who I don't know). Anyone else remember that?

Katie - I don't remember the quote, but Don Rickles was an insult comic whose humor was like what we see now at celebrity roasts. George must have been a real brat for Nina to say that about him.
