I'm afraid that the film is already ruined

Had.e6 - Why do you think the film is ruined? If it's because they're shooting again, that could be for technical reasons - maybe there were continuity problems, or maybe they spotted something in editing that needed fixing. It could be anything.

I'm holding out hope that this will be a good movie. The trailers look great.

Lizzy don't worry,it will be really hard for them to make a bad movie based on that informative and smart script.

Rather than reboots, these could be entirely new scenes. You know, for continuity or plot clarity or any number of reasons.

Way2Old - I thought of that, but if that's the case it makes me a little nervous. Continuity, ok. Plot clarity, not so much. Wouldn't they have all those kinds of kinks worked out by now?

You'd hope so. But something may have been lost in editing, or a scene was better written and is being replaced. Or something.

Do you remember the one small but consistent complaint about 'Michael Clayton,' that the killer crew was sloppy in their hit on Michael?  Of course, anyone who paid close attention knew that that was intentional, but there was a scene in the screenplay that laid it out really well. That scene didn't make the final cut of the movie, and I think that was a mistake.

Maybe the same sort of thing here.

Way2Old - Could that be what happened in "Oceans 11"? That something got cut or lost and then for some reason didn't get re-shot? I'm thinking about the robbery sequence when Danny and Linus go down the elevator shaft to get to the vault.They lowered themselves on ropes and then they cut the ropes, so how did Danny get back into the room with Bruiser after the robbery? He couldn't climb back up the ropes and he for sure couldn't just walk in the door because those two gorillas were there.

Either I'm truly stupid or someone fucked up and they figured nobody would notice! Either way, it's been driving me crazy since the first time I saw the movie - and I've seen it at least a dozen times! If you have an answer I will be grateful forever!

I agree . I could not figure out how he got back . 

I would have to go back and watch the movie again to see what's there, but in the screenplay version, when Linus looks up and sees Danny and asks him, "How did you get here?", Danny answers, "Crawlspace."

Danny had the plans for every inch of the casino, so the assumption is that he had an alternate way in and out of the room.

I'll have to dig out the screenplay to make sure. You may be right about the deleted scene scenario.

It never occurred to me that he might have an alternate route to use. You made me have a "Duh!" moment because that's such an obvious answer - but if there was another way in/out of the vault (obviously easier than lowering yourself down a shaft on a rope!) why didn't they go in that way in the first place?

Don't go to any trouble. It's really not important, just annoying. I did want to ask you, though, how you get access to screenplays. Do you have to be a member of one of the professional organisations or are there online sites where anyone can see them?

The flyers in the duffel bags, the logo on the floor, the timing, the tapes - everything about that stupid robbery confuses me! Every time I think I have it figured out, I lose it and get all confuzzled all over again!

Anyway, back to Money Monster, I'd love to know what these reshoots were all about. If it involved George, who's the main character, then I'd be worried.

Am I right in thinking the only pictures we have of him are the Instagram shots? Nothing of him filming anything?

He was wearing his own clothes, so he wasn't filming street scenes. Maybe he did film interior scenes - could be for sound, continuity, actually could be for anything. It could even be that he knew they were filming and just decided to stop by and say "Hi!".
