George & Amal Clooney Enjoy a Sunny Motorcycle Ride in Italy

The couple that rides together, stays together.

Amal Clooney is learning to love husband George's passion for motorcycles, as the couple were spotted out for a ride in Laglio, Lake Como, this week.

They've been in Italy for an extended holiday at Lake Como, having been photographed leaving Harry's Bar in Cernobbio last week. They also spent the Fourth of July holiday at their Lake Como estate, and were subsequently seen having dinner out with friends and family, including Amal's sister, Tala Alamuddin.

Of course, George isn't one to pass up a chance to get back on the bike.

Last month, he took a motorcycle trip in Mexico with best pal Rande Gerber and some other guy friends, with Gerber chronicling their scenic journey on Instagram. The group reportedly kicked off the trip from Jalisco, Mexico, where Clooney and Gerber own a tequila distillery, Casamigos Tequila.

Omg he's wearing a t-shirt and it doesn't say Casamigos on it!!! Incredible, I thought those days were behind us. Lol

Am I seeing clearly? Is Amal wearing open-toe platform shoes...on a motorcycle? I had hope that she was "dressed down" when I noticed the patterned pants, but the big hair under the (somewhat) larger helmet should have clued me otherwise. SHM

They may have gone for a short ride so maybe Amal didn't want to don the boots and jeans. 

George is wearing his non regulation helmet.  Does anyone remember that he got called out for wearing it in the past - in the U.S.?   I'm not sure that Italy has helmet regulations.  Amal's helmet is the standard size.

It's hot there I guess she didn't want to put on thick jeans and heavy boots. 

Didn't he get fined in Italy for the wrong helmet?

Is it really that big of a deal if she wore open toe shoes? Jesus. As for her hair, that's how it is pretty much everyday, so why the feigned shock now? They look like they're out for a casual short ride or something. Whatever.

annemarie yes George either just got stopped and warned or was fined for wearing a WWII style helmet like this one.  But can't remember if it was Italy or the states.  I figured the motorcycle laws were pretty lax in Italy - but maybe not.

We don't know how far G&A were traveling on his bike.  Personally I think she should have been wearing boots and jeans.  But I'm super cautious.  I also don't like motorcycles.

I live in New York and pretty much see all sorts of wear on motorcycles.

They've run out of bread and milk ! Lol

Way2Old  There's no law against riding a motorcycle if you're pregnant, though it's not the smartest move you could make. Either is wearing clothes that offer no protection in case of an accident - and I speak from experience! I don't care where they were going, accidents happen  - mostly close to home - and the smart thing is to protect yourself as best you can.

I'm beginning to think that as book-smart as she may be, Amal doesn't have much common sense. She seems more concerned with how she looks than what it would make sense to wear for the occasion  ie. huge heels and super-short dresses on a boat! One of these days George will have to fish her out of the lake!

George not protect Amal awful. After lovely girl before Amal broke leg on bike don't know name.George so very concerned foR her it was rumoured he almost marry her.He knows damage that can Be and not care.

The first time we saw Amal on the bike in Cali she was dressed properly on the bike. It is hot in Italy apparently. She is grown if she chose to be comfortable in the heat that was her choice. George can't force his wife to wear what she doesn't want to wear. And if she felt safe on that bike with George that was her decision. I have seen people with flip flops on motorcycles now that is dumb.

annemarie - George is her husband, not her father. He can't force her to do anything she doesn't want to do. It's nice that she FELT safe on the bike with him, but it would have been smarter to BE safe and dress appropriately.

The important thing is, the hair is protected.

The bad news....George's evil twin is still around.

The good news....The man from Delmonte said "YES", he got his powder blue suit back... 

Posters it would be remiss of me not to point out the real Health and Safety issues here....No! it's not sitting on the rough end of a pineapple....

It is if George were to bend into a 40' turn Amal would impale a pedestrian Italian Family of five on that sharp knee.....An Amal Kabab.....and possibly lobotomise several small animals with a crack of the platform....Not nice in a country you like to call home for the summer.....

A solution occurs to me...Strap a shiny white helmet on each knee and wrap George's blue suit around the shoe's to soften the blows.....

On a serious note, I have learned first hand how painful a motorcycle accident can be and have lost a dear friend to one. Riding unprotected is just stupid.

Against the laws of physics to be standing still though......unless there is something propping up the back wheel!

The temperatures in Italy were in the 90's there may not have been any breeze or they weren't going that fast. As for standing still they would have fallen over.
