Amal Clooney is uncharacteristically dressed down in low-cut crop top and checked jacket as she takes a day off from her busy job 


She usually favours smart coordinated suits and chic dresses.
But Amal Clooney opted for a street style look as she ventured out and about in Notting Hill, London on Tuesday morning, swapping her business-appropriate workwear for an on-trend outfit.
The 37-year-old lawyer, visibly relieved from her office duties for the day, looked poles apart from her usual demure self in a fashionable checked jacket and a youthful crop top.

Amal looked amazing in a plunging black vest and bootcut jeans, showing off just a hint of skin at the waist. 


George Clooney's wife - who wed the Hollywood actor in a romantic Venice-based ceremony last September - added a pair of peep-toe leather boots and a matching handbag, completing the outfit with a statement beaded necklace.

She wore her thick, brunette hair in natural curls and added a touch of glamour with some hot pink lipstick and some Heidi London sunglasses from Wolf & Badger.

Amal's casual outing came after a busy start to the week, with the lawyer appearing at the Supreme Court in London to help argue the case for former residents of the Chagos Islands, who were forced to move from their homes in the 1960s to make way for a U.S. airbase.

They are challenging a decision made six years ago by the House of Lords which dashed their hopes of returning home to their native islands.

A legal team including Clooney, which is headed by Edward Fitzgerald QC, claimed the former residents of the tiny Indian Ocean islands suffered 'a significant injustice' when moved to make way for the airbase.

Families were forced to leave the islands in the 1960s and 1970s to make way for a United States Air Force base on the largest island, Diego Garcia. The last residents of the British colony were removed in May 1973.

Courts later ruled that the Chagossians could return to 65 of the islands, but not Diego Garcia.

But Olivier Bancoult, the Chagossian leader who has been fighting in the courts on behalf of the islanders, now argues that the 2008 three-to-two majority ruling in favour of the foreign secretary should be 'set aside'.

I like the coat (I guess it's a coat). She has some jacked up toes but I like the shoes. Think the media can stop saying she's the wife of George Clooney and they were wedded in September of last year. We all know that.
