What a 180! Amal Clooney trades in her power suit for a biker chic look to visit husband George Clooney on the set of Money Monster


She normally looks serious in her power suits when working as an attorney in London.
So it was a shock to see Amal Clooney dressed in biker chic attire on Sunday when she visited husband George, 53, on the New York City set of his new movie Money Monster.
The 37-year-old had on a black leather jacket and ripped jeans with buckled sneakers. Her accessory for the day were her two dogs.

Never the same outfit twice: The newly-minted style icon, who counts Anna Wintour as her new fashion mentor, looked very thin in skinny jeans and boots with a white broderie anglaise top and leather jacket
Amal seemed to enjoy the head-turning attention she got as she arrived with onlookers and crew pausing to watch her.
The lawyer kept her face hidden behind a pair of oversized sunglasses and carried a fringed grey leather shoulder bag.
And the super skinny powerhouse made sure to rock some rocks with a pair of large diamond stud earrings.

The black cocker spaniel is Einstein, a rescue pup that George adopted in 2010.
The other pooch is believed to be one of two puppies Amal reportedly gifted her new husband after their Venice wedding last September. 
All three hung around while the Hollywood star changed into his costume to continue shooting scenes for the Jodie Foster-directed flick.
He sported the same shirt, tie and suicide vest that he'd work Saturday as he shot scenes on the street with co-star Jack O'Connell.

Watched the action: The 37-year-old remained with the crew and looked on from the sidelines as her husband focused his attention on his work
In the film, Clooney plays a TV financial personality taken hostage by O'Connell's character who has lost his life savings after following his money advice. 
He threatens to kill him if he does not get his stock back up before the bell rings as the entire nation tunes in to watch the drama unfold.
The dramatic thriller also stars Julia Roberts and Dominic West.
Filming only got underway in New York City at the end of February, with release a date scheduled for some time in 2016.
Meanwhile, British-Lebanese Amal is a visiting professor at Columbia Law School.

I was enjoying seeing George in his work element. Now Amal is there, too. With the dogs. All eyes on Amal.

Will George show up and sit at the defense table when Amal is working? And bring the dogs? No. Because her work is important, and he only makes movies.

Relax. Just making a point, people. A petty one, at that.

The doggies are very well behaved considering the crowd of people around them.

Yes I saw Grant and I think Waldo too.  The man walking with Amal does look like a relative.  Think annemarie thought he was Amal's brother.  He does look a bit like Amal's father but I'm not sure.

From the DM video it looks like they came to the set with George. If that was shot when they left the hotel, he was there with them - so, either they were with him all along or he went and got them.

Right Lizzy.  It looks like the car took all of them to the filming site from the hotel and then looks like Amal and her brother took the car back to the hotel after their visit.

I liked seeing the whole Clooney Family together 
on the film set....that's including the doggies of course as they are Family.
I don't suppose they stayed there for long out of consideration to the doggies as they prefer grass to concrete !

Gee I think it would be a good idea while Amal is in New York to visit one of the soup kitchens and help feed the poor and homeless, seeing that they want to call her a "humanitarian".  In the first photo as they were leaving the hotel with the dogs, it looked like a homeless person walking towards them and when she saw him it seemed like she couldn't get away from him fast enough, JMO.

I think that man was Radioman

She did speak to radio jack so she wasn't trying to get a way from him. I'm sure she has seen him before he is usually around the the hotel when George is in town. I don't think she should go to any food kitchens how she supports her causes is her business and should if she chooses remain private. I think her  going to a food kitchen would be seen as her trying to get publicity and people would pick her a part . It would just cause her to be disliked by some even more.

She knows who Radio Man is.  George knows him.  George is always very friendly with him. Radio Man has been outside their hotel and at the filming site on Wall Street.  They have had their picture taken together. More than once.  I couldn't make out what Amal said while she was getting into the car but her tone was very cordial.  

Those who don't like Amal see what they want to see and perceive her body language and facial expressions to suit their opinions of her.

Her humanitarian interests and efforts are her business.

Both George & Amal spoke to Radio Man. 
They just didn't have any spare time to stay and chat.
Also Einstein took the lead by getting into the car first
it seems without any command, so the situation 
was already set.
Radio Man laughed at something they'd said and 
responded with "OK, take care"

Of course it can go both ways Cece42, it always has done and will continue thus.

I make this argument in defense of Amal over and over again.  I have never heard anyone who knows her personally or who has worked with her say anything negative about her.  In all of her public appearances either with George or out on her own, she has never been anything less than cordial and polite to the people she comes in contact with.

Now some people want to believe those who know her are not telling the truth about her.  They feel compelled to say only flattering things.  Well, I can't realistically  believe that all those flattering comments are made up.  And I do not believe George would marry a woman who didn't share his values.

Bottom line then without any substantiated criticisms of her so far why would I claim that Amal is not a kind, caring and thoughtful person. Amal is very slim but I don't think she has lost any noticeable weight since the wedding. Some of the outfits she wears makes her look slimmer than she really is.  But look at her at the Armenian event wearing the blue dress.   Very flattering to her figure.  I think she looks more shapely in form fitting pieces. Personally I thought the jeans she wore to the film shoot were too baggy for her figure.  I like her in skinny jeans that fit snugly.

So you think George has a lot of wrinkles?  Well he has more than when he turned 50.  And he is definitely grayer.  But we know George was going to be prematurely gray.  He was already getting gray hair on ER.  But I still think he looks great.  Most pictures I see of him still make me swoon.  He's a good looking older man IMO.  I don't think he looks old. But I think he looks older.

They might serve Sunday dinner at the local homeless shelter every weekend; we wouldn't know about it unless they wanted us to.  If we did see photos of her working in a homeless shelter, she'd be accused of doing it for the PR.  Let's face it, she could give away all her money, jewelry, and clothes and declare herself to be living a life of service to the poor, and the response from some here would be, "Look how she's flashing her legs in that burlap sack she's wearing! Attention-wh**e!" 

It's interesting that only Amal catches the flack for not living a life appropriate for a "humanitarian" (although, as Katie has repeatedly pointed out, she is not calling herself that; the press is). George is considered a humanitarian as well, and he oddly does not get called out here for living a life of extraordinary luxury.  No complaints that we haven't seen him scooping mashed potatoes at the shelter. Weird.

Yep, and all this came from a conversation between her and Radioman in which you can very clearly hear him laughing at something that was said, and he says 'Okay, sweetheart. Take care' and she's says 'thank you' and 'have a nice one'....

Yeah, that Radioman thing: I don't blame her if she did initially look defensive before she realized who had approached her.  As she was heading out into a chaotic, crowded situation, a strange man came towards her.  People are crazy, and security or not, my biggest fear if I were in Amal's situation would be a lunatic with a weapon who blended into a crowd of photographers until he could get close enough to harm me or my husband. That situation is not unlikely, and I feel a little nervous every time I watch George plow through one of those crowds.  Can't imagine walking through one every time I left the house.

I think that Amal's safety is of great concern to George.  She has become such a public figure, she works on high profile and some might consider controversial cases and she origintes from the Middle East.  To echo what Missa said there ARE a lot of crazy people in our the world. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gio accompanying her on any overseas business trips in the future.  He was with her on the trip to The Hague.  Right?
