Well Nicky, it took you 3 times to say it (hahahahaha), but don't count on it!  I bet you $100 that come Monday (if there's any coverage on the civil ceremony), there will be at least 1 person (but probably more) who will say "but they got married on Saturday, so why are they getting married again today".  I just bet you!!!!!

A legal marriage in Venice ???

I think the problem comes in with why another ceremony because they did it backwards. To be legally married you have to have a civil ceremony. In most cases this takes place first. What they actually had was the non legal ceremony first. On Monday they will be legally married in the eyes of the law. Basically they married today in the eyes of God family and friends.

It's official: George Clooney andAmal Alamuddin are husband and wife. 

The couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony at the Aman Canal Grande luxury resort in Venice, Italy, on Saturday, PEOPLE confirms. 

"George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were married today in a private ceremony in Venice, Italy," the actor's rep said in a statement. 

Clooney, 53, in Armani, and Alamuddin, 36, were married by close friend Walter Veltroni, the former mayor of Rome. 
The much-anticipated wedding, attended by families and close friends, including Matt Damon, John Krasinski and the Oscar winner's producing partner, Grant Heslov, follows a series of celebratory events leading up to Saturday's nuptials.

no,they are married officially by veltroni ,if it matters;and thats what i wanted to say before when i asked how they were married, and sorry,this is not a discussion but we dont have the same here in europe; you can exchange all the vows that you want and cut cakes etc but if there is not somebody who marry you ,you are not married:then you can consider whatever day that u like as your wedding day,but for us thats just in your head and heart .vows cakes friends and family and no someone official is not a wedding but just a party; now we know that veltroni married them and everything fits with cakes family and party.

George and Amal will be truly married to the Italian law only Monday when will go in the town of Venice (Ca Farsetti) to sign documents with the wedding witnesses, yesterday there was the ceremony, they exchanged rings and promises but marriage is not valid yet will only Mondays.

it is a beautifull building, a lovely place to get married, maybe one day ill get to Venice, could take a while as the places i like are so expensive to stay in

Me too, expensive taste but not the means to travel everywhere that I want too, but one day, one day.

there was a very quick live feed of people taking stuff out of the building and the cover over that walkway is gone, but it was just seconds and the rest seems to be repeats - i think they have gone already, its nearly 1:30 in Venice and possibly didn't actually stay there last night, they could be anywhere

I think that the story of a boat waiting for George and Amal outside the Aman, was true. 
Who knows where did the spend the night, but now I think they are at Cipriani.

I think they left after all the guests and are back at Cipriani. We probably won't see them until tomorrow.

Well arcording to this post in the thread below it looks like something is happening in front of the Hotel as the boat is still there and the Police showed up. maybe there are coming out later and we are lucky hehe

I really don't think they left there last night...why would they? You should just stay with your wife at the wedding night and enjoy every moment of it-not anywhere but the place where you married her.

and the feed above is now live at the hotel, looks like they are there

Maybe the parent's hosted the lunch and they are going to join the guests.
