Anything is possible at this point. I also think the wedding is this weekend with the delivery from Armani to the villa. I hope it is I'm ready for the wedding to happen.

George Clooney is getting a big discount on booze for his wedding, with the help of best friend Rande Gerber ... who's flying more than 50 cases of tequila to Italy for the big shindig a week from Saturday.

TMZ got video Monday of Randy leaving L.A. for Italy in a private jet ... loaded with at least 50 cases of Casamigos tequila ... the company owned by George and Rande.

The video is fantastic ... Rande drives up in a blacked-out black Mercedes right to his jet, where he inspects the precious cargo ... then has one of the guys cut open 2 boxes.  Cindy Crawford's hubby then removes one bottle of Reposado and one bottle of Blanco ... then proudly fist pumps them as he boards the jet.

There are numerous reports in Italy ... the wedding is set for a week from Monday at Cipriani hotel in Venice.

Arrivederci ... and recuerdos a todos.

I reckon George is trying to set a new trend in wedding favours. Let's be honest, now. Which would you prefer to receive? A lacy bit of flimflam with some sugared almonds in them or a bottle of Clooney's tequila?

I like the almonds. The story goes, you either put the almonds, or a piece of wedding cake ( can't remember which) under your pillow, and you will dream of your future husband.  But since George is the groom- blows that theory out the window.

In the UK it's the wedding cake you're supposed to put under your pillow to dream of your future husband. Can't help but wonder what you'd dream of with a bottle of tequila under your pillow!

Anyway, back on topic, I've no idea what he's going to do with all that tequila, but it sounds like it's going to be one hell of a party!

Maybe just a delivery to Cipriani where they delivered earlier by boat for the photo op?

Bachelor and bachelorette blowouts this weekend, wedding the next? I do not think it would be a good idea for George and The Boys to have a "send-off" party even two days before the wedding. It will take a week for them to recover.

Do we have to go through another week of this?

I wonder if the Boys will share any of the Casamigos with Amal, Baria and Tala for the Bachelorette Party?  One bottle should do.

The Insider just reported that Rande loaded 100 cases of Casamigos on the plane and the garment bag he was carrying said "Armani" . I'd say he's ready to party!

PEOPLE also said 100 cases.... and Rande and Cindy would definitely be at the wedding.

That's a LOT of booze! They're either having a HUGE wedding or one HELL of a bachelor party.  I do think Missa may be right - it could be this weekend at Villa Oleandra - or maybe the tequila is for his neighbors in Laglio, to make up for not getting married there.

Or like I said above, it could just be a refill for Cipriani.

I wonder what cocktail they are serving for the wedding.

I don't think bachelor or bachelorette party's would be happening now too close to the wedding. Might be gifts for the guests and for the reception.

George doesn't need a a bachelor party. The last 20 years of his life has been a bachelor party.

Oh so true jd68. I think just having his close buddies sitting around together with tequila in hand, shooting the bull, is enough of a party for him before heading down the aisle.

If the 100 cases is accurate, and taking a conservative count that there are 6 bottles per case ( large bottles) that's 600 bottles of tequila.  Twelve bottles per case -1200 bottles. Good God in Heaven.

By any standards that's overkill. I think Mel may be right - at least some of it may be a refill order for Cipriani. Not even George and his buddies could go through that much booze in a weekend!

Another theory, or at least a good rumor.. (LOL)..Team Clooney is going to pass out the bottles to the press starting the night before the wedding (whenever the hell that is) and keep going until George and Amal leave for the honey moon, so the paps will be too drunk to try and get photos.  Not bad, huh?

sounds like one crazy party and lots of booze and fun. george is a classy guy and this wedding sounds to good to be true. I hope he does not get too drunk on his wedding night or he might miss out on all the fun. love to be there but not invited. well I can always watch the news and entertainment tonight. bg

I doubt George is going to fly 16+ hours for a bachelor party in Arizona that more easily could be done somewhere in Europe.
