Celebrate National Tequila Day (July 24) with George Clooney and Rande Gerber’s ultra-premium Casamigos Tequila!
If you are in the habit of enjoying your tequila with fruit, skip the lime and up your garnish-game with cucumber, grapefruit and oranges instead.

Whether you’re sipping the tequila neat, on the rocks or taking a shot, (although not needed) these select garnishes enhance the flavors of the spirit. Alternative pairings to lime and salt for each type are listed below along with a couple of cockail recipes

Casamigos Blanco 
Casamigos Blanco rests for 2 months and is crisp and clean with hints of citrus, vanilla and sweet agave, with a long smooth finish.
Instead of lime,
pair with a cucumber slice. Elevate the garnish, dust it with salt, sugar, and Tajín. Tajin is a
Casamigos Reposado 
Casamigos Reposado is aged for 7 months in premium American white oak barrels. The tequila is soft, slightly oaky with hints of caramel and cocoa and has a silky texture that offers a medium to long finish.
Instead of lime, pair with a grapefruit wedge. Elevate the garnish dust it with salt, sugar, and orange zest.
Casamigos Añejo
Casamigos Añejo, aged for 14 months in premium American white oak barrels, is beautifully pure and complex. The tequila has the perfect balance of sweetness from the Blue Weber agaves, with subtle hints of spice and barrel oak, and offers a lingering smooth finish.
Instead of lime, pair with an orange wedge. To elevate the garnish dust it with salt, sugar, and cinnamon.
 
Cocktails!
Casamigos Strawberry Smash

Ingredients: 
2 Parts Casamigos Blanco
1 Part Fresh lime juice
.5 Parts Simple syrup
2 Full strawberries
4-5 Basil leaves
2 Dashes Peychauds bitters
Method: 
Add lime juice, simple syrup, strawberries, basil leaves, and bitters into tin shaker and muddle fruit.
Add Casamigos and ice, shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds.
Fine strain into rocks glass with fresh ice.
Garnish with large basil leaf/strawberry slice.
 
Casamigos Lavender Spritzer

Ingredients:
2 Parts Casamigos Blanco
1.5 Parts Lavender syrup (see recipe below)
.5 Part Fresh lemon juice
.5 Part Grapefruit juice
2 Dashes lavender bitters
Top off with grapefruit soda water
Method: 
Add all ingredients into shaker and shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds.
Strain into Collins glass with fresh ice.
Garnish with lavender sprig and lemon peel
To create lavender syrup:
Dissolve 2 cups water and 2 cups sugar in a medium pot.
Add dried lavender sprigs. Let simmer for 10 min.
Cool and preserve lavender syrup.
 
 
Casamigos Mexican Mimosa

Ingredients:
1 Part Casamigos Blanco
1 Part fresh blood orange juice OR blood orange puree
2 dashes firewater bitters
Prosecco
Method:
Add all ingredients to tin shaker with only 2 ice cubes.
Shake vigorously for 6 seconds.
Add salt mixture if needed to glass by taking an orange wedge and wetting the edge of rim.
Pour from tin shaker into champagne flute.
Top off with Prosecco.
Garnish with large orange peel expressed over cocktail and laid flat on top of flute / orange skin facing outward
Optional: Half rim of salt/sugar/chili mixture. Or you can try Tanjin mixed with the sugar and skip the salt and chili ingredients.
