Our Brand is Crisis Casting Calls and Auditions
Hi folks, thought I'd do something different for this film and make a section for any casting call notices for Our Brand is Crisis. That way, anyone interested in auditioning for the film can find the info easily. I know there's a few budding actresses here so hope you guys can share whatever information you come across. Thanks

As George Clooney and Sandra Bullock pack for New Orleans this fall to shoot the political comedy "Our Brand Is Crisis," producers are looking for locals interested in appearing in the film as extras. To that end, they've scheduled a local casting call for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the Slidell Municipal Auditorium, 2056 2nd St., Slidell.
Background actors are being sought to portray Bolivian men and women of all ages. Specifically, the production is looking for those who have a Hispanic and Native American look.
Those interested should bring documents necessary for filling out an IRS I-9 form. All applicants will be photographed on-site, "so please dress as you would like to be seen by the director and producers of the movie," according to a recent casting advisory. Registration is expected to last from an hour and a half to two hours.
The Warner Bros.-backed "Our Brand Is Crisis" is based on the 2005 documentary of the same name and focuses on the exporting of American political strategies to South America. The film is being produced by Clooney and producing partner Grant Heslov, the same duo behind 2012's Oscar-winning "Argo."
David Gordon Green reportedly will direct.
The script is being penned by "Men Who Stare at Goats" screenwriter Peter Straughan. Shooting is expected to begin Sept. 29 and continue through October and early November.

At the Metairie casting call on April 26 for "Jurassic World," hopefuls came with vast Hollywood South experience -- or none at all. All were vying to be the next to be stomped by a dinosaur in the Jurassic Park series started by Steven Spielberg in 1993.

Hopefuls filled out paperwork at Metairie's Grace King High School.

Participants were also asked to have their portrait snapped, so casting agents could see just who they might feed to CGI dinosaurs.

Rashad McMillian, 22, a math student at Xavier University was next up to be photographed for a role as an extra. He did not like the number he was given, however. "666 -- that's bad luck," he said.

The Pike family of Harvey are casting call veterans. Olivia Pike, Victoria Pike and Kevin Pike said they have been in multiple independent films shot in the New Orleans area, and Victoria had recently been cast in a Disney production.

Isaiah Boudreaux, 12, stood in the center of the family who came out to support him -- and try their luck as well.

The Ryan family of Metairie came out to support Sieria Ryan, 15, (front, right) who had caught the acting bug. She had recently played Ursula, from Disney's "Little Mermaid," in a local production. Now, she was hoping to be cast as an extra.

Casting for extras will continue through the film's June production, a casting director said.
George Clooney and Sandra Bullock's "Our Brand Is Crisis" is still looking for local extras to appear in the film, and this time it's bringing its search to Metairie. The production, which is scheduled to start shooting Sept. 29 in New Orleans, has scheduled an open casting call from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 11) at the Lafreniere Park Foundation Center, 3000 Downs Blvd, Metairie.
As with a casting call held last week in Slidell, the production is seeking background actors to portray Bolivian men and women of all ages.
