The "slow boat to China" refers to the three masted clipper ships, or tall ships, sailing to China 
to collect the tea, in the old days before steam ships.

I don't think he will attend. As far as I understood he gave a price which can be auctioned which is in this case Lunch or Dinner. So on the 26th April so today they will auction it and announce the winner but I don't think he will be there.
