George Clooney to marry Brad Pitt...in the role of a vicar
ETERNAL bachelor George Clooney is finally getting ready to marry someone… in the role of a vicar.

The hunk, 52, recently went online to get a licence allowing him to officiate weddings.
And pals of the A-lister said the upcoming nuptials of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will be his first outing as “Reverend George”.
The couple are expected to tie the knot later this year in a series of summer ceremonies. Now Brad, 50, has asked his Ocean’s Eleven co-star and long-time pal to conduct the service.
“It was Brad’s idea to have George involved but he was shocked when he actually agreed” A US source exclusively told the Daily Star: “It was Brad’s idea to have George involved but he was shocked when he actually agreed.
“Now he’s started calling him the Reverend George Clooney. He is taking it all very seriously and has already had discussions about what kind of service they’d like.”
Our source said: “George has made it clear he’s dead against marriage for himself but he can’t wait to help his friends tie the knot. Neither Brad nor Ange are particularly religious but are very spiritual and want the service at their home to feel traditional.”
Brad and Ange, 38, fell in love on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2004 and now have six children. They got engaged in April 2012 but would not marry until gay couples in the US could.

Thanks for posting this...I was just thinking I wish GC would do something so we can have a gossip...so this seems pretty good.
Love to see him in his robes...lol.
Or maybe a nice white suit if its in the summer.
I wish he'd stop mentioning about his not wanting to get married I seem to read that in every press release!
Hope they get married in Australia!!...lol.

Brad and Ange are the sexiest couple in the world...add to that GTC...it most definitely will be the red hot centre!!!
For those who haven't read..first Ceromony will be in Australia at Ayers Rock...later this year!

It is very easy to get a license as a minister so that you can marry people. Brad might have been kidding, but George took him up on it. maybe that's where the prank comes in???

Guys, I've posted this news on China's biggest forum Tieba, but many Pitt fans say they just don't believe the wedding rumors after having heard of the same story almost every summer.

The answer is we don't know...what I do know is I can't sleep over it.
Out of all the celebrities in the world I am wondering why I picked GC...I am not finding it easy being his fan!
Normal celebrities are sighted regularly...stable long relationships...even marriage.
Its the uncertainty that's getting me...the rumours... its tough!
I don't know what the answer is....praying for sleep and hoping for a sighting or new pic in the am!

As you say, it's the same story every year, and the Star is a really downmarket tabloid so not really very reliable.

Katie - It probably is nonsense, but it sure is funny. Didn't I read somewhere that Angie didn't even want him at their wedding because she didn't trust him to behave himself? It's a far cry from "You're not invited," to "Would you please officiate?"

Ok I'm thinking now in a big picture. We have another thread about that George got something notary signed. Which kind of got known at the same time when the rumor with Brad Pitt started. So maybe he got the license to marry Brad Pitt and it is all true

Wow Nicky! Quick thinking on your part - it really does make sense. I would never have put the two together. I guess now we'll just have to wait and see.

On his night show, Jimmy Kimmel gave Clooney a stationery paper pack with letterhead, supposedly belonging to an unnamed celebrity. Perhaps, it has to do with it(?), who knows.
