George Clooney hit up LA's most romantic restaurant - the intimate Pace nestled among trees deep in cozy Laurel Canyon - on Friday night.

But he wasn't with a hot new blonde or any of his beautiful exes, who range from Elisabetta Canalis to, more recently, Stacy Keibler. Instead, the 52-year-old was with his Monuments Men star Bill Murray, aged 63.

The two vets were most likely masterminding how the Oceans Eleven actor should go about getting revenge on Tina Fey for her Golden Globes dig. After all, just hours earlier the Up In The Air actor told E! he wasn't too happy with the host's jibe that he didn't like being around women his own age.

But the GQ cover boy already has a clue what he'll do.
'I got a little surprise for Tina Fey,' he told E!'s Guiliana Rancic.

'Oh, I've been working on it. She might have poked the bear with the stick.'

Tina took her swipe at the salt-and-pepper hunk while talking about his film Gravity, which co-stars Sandra Bullock, aged 49.

"[It's] the story of how George Clooney would rather float away into space and die than spend one more minute with a woman his own age,' said the former Saturday Night Live star. The cut got some of the biggest laughs of the night from audience members that included the actor's friends Julia Roberts and Matt Damon.

The Kentucky native got the news about Sunday's Globes put-down after it had already aired. 'I didn't get to see it live, I was in Vancouver hanging off of a wire about 30 feet up in the air,' George told E!

'But by the time I got down off of the wire [the joke] was already around the set.'

He was busy: The Kentucky native was not at the Globes Sunday, he was on set in Vancouver

George has been shooting Tomorrowland, based on Disney theme parks' futuristic rides, with co-star Judy Greer.

The Disney synopsis reads: 'Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as Tomorrowland.'

Hugh Laurie and Tim McGraw also star in the film due out in 2015.

His new project: On Thursday Clooney was with in LA his Monuments Men cast, which includes Cate Blanchett and Matt Damon as well as Bill (center)

As far as George's personal life, the lovable and consummate bachelor has not been seen with a lady friend since splitting from Keibler in July.

He told People in October it was not true that he was after Katie Holmes, Monika Jakisic or Amal Alamuddin, all women he was heavily rumored to be dating. 'Three different stories in three weeks. I should be an athlete,' the Gravity star joked.
'But, no of course, it's all made up.'

His rep added: 'George wants this Monika crap to stop. He wants Katie to get a break, and he wants Amal to be able to prosecute cases without being hassled because she had one dinner with George and four others.'
The publicist added: 'I even asked George if these [rumors] were true and he said he never comments on his private life, but in the interest of stopping the harassment of all three of these women, he felt he should.'

He does look good, but this movie is keeping him off the red carpet and I'm missing seeing him in a tux! He missed the Golden Globes because he was filming, and he missed the SAG Awards tonight, probably because he was traveling. I hope he makes it to the Academy Awards!

Lizzy, it's very doubtful that he will attend the Oscars either. It would be nice if he was there when Alfonso and Sandy and Gravity WIN!!!!, but he won't be there "just to support" Julia and Meryl who have the only nominations for August:Osage County. We've been spoiled for the past few years as he's attended most of the events as he's had his finger in the pie of alot of projects. I would like nothing more than to see him all decked out, but I don't think we'll be graced this awards season with our MAN...

At the SAGs last night, Ben presented (as he was co-producer of ARGO). So, the same with Oscars. Last year, George was on stage, but pushed Grant and Ben to be in the "front".
