Rumor Tim McGraw about to film Tomorrowland
This is still a rumor:
Is Tim McGraw starring in a movie with George Clooney?

Tim McGraw and George Clooney together on the big screen?
Um, yes please!
Various radio stations are reporting that Tim McGraw is set to star in the new movie "Tomorrowland" alongside George Clooney. I've searched and looked and dug around and can't find any other information about Tim starring in the movie besides those reports from the radio stations, but it would definitely be cool if true.
As for the movie, "Tomorrowland" seems to be pretty top secret so Tim's part being hush hush wouldn't really be that surprising. There is an IMDB page with other actors listed as being in the movie, but no Tim. From reports about the movie, it's a Disney flick that hopes to revitalize the Tomorrowland part of the parks in the same way that "The Pirates of the Caribbean" movies made that classic ride cool again, but a plot for the movie is definitely being kept under tight wraps right now.
According to the reports, filming for the movie began back in August, but Tim will reportedly begin filming in Vancouver next week. The movie is expected to hit theaters in 2014.
I will definitely let you know when I hear anymore about Tim's ties to "Tomorrowland."

Billboard has confirmed it
Tim McGraw Returning to Big Screen in Disney's 'Tomorrowland'
By Chuck Dauphin, Nashville | September 16, 2013 9:05 AM EDT
Tim McGraw, no stranger to the movie camera, will begin shooting a new film in the coming days.
Billboard has learned that the Big Machine recording artist will be a part of the upcoming Disney production, "Tomorrowland." Starring George Clooney and directed by Brad Bird ("The Iron Giant," "Ratatouille"), the movie is tentatively scheduled to hit theaters in late 2014.
According to Disney, the film centers on a bright teen (Britt Robertson) and a "former boy-genius inventor" (Clooney) as they embark on a "danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as 'Tomorrowland.'"
The film, which begins shooting next week in Vancouver, will be McGraw’s ninth. He first went before the big screen cameras in 2004 with "Black Cloud," as well as "Friday Night Lights," for which he won rave reviews for the role of Charles Billingsley. Other film highlights for the singer include "The Blind Side," "Four Christmases," and "Country Strong." His most recent foray into making movies was 2011’s "Dirty Girl," starring Juno Temple and featuring fellow country singer-turned-actor, Dwight Yoakam.
McGraw is currently No. 12 on the Hot Country Songs chart with his single, "Southern Girl."

Tim McGraw hinted at being part of the film last month. Country music sites thought it was for a different film though....
Tim McGraw Working on Another Movie?
By Christina Vinson August 23, 2013 11:00 AM
Tim McGraw is one very busy guy. He’s a father of three, husband to a fellow star and has an on-fire country career of his own — and while that may sound like more than enough work for one person, he doesn’t think so. Now, the ‘Southern Girl’ hitmaker is working on another movie.
McGraw will begin shooting next month, and admits that his future looks packed to the brim. “It’s gonna be a busy winter,” he tells ABC News. Although he’s remained mum on what movie he’s acting in, the superstar adds, “I don’t know if it’s a surprising role, but it’s gonna be a great film.”
Nashville Gab asserts that the country favorite may be starring in ‘Five Good Years,’ a movie about a young Kentucky coal miner forced into boxing ring to save his critically ill mother, which is rumored to star Melanie Griffith. However, since the film began shooting in 2010, it remains unclear if McGraw will grace the set of that movie, or be in something completely different.
Either way, country fans will be excited to once again catch McGraw on the big screen as they did with his previous films ‘The Blind Side’ and ‘Country Strong.’
McGraw has also mentioned that once his schedule frees up, he’d be interested in acting on Broadway or on a TV show. The problem is, with his popularity at an all-time high, his schedule always seems full. For now, fans can be on the lookout for McGraw in a future film — and elsewhere, once the timing is right.

Watch out, Hollywood! Tim McGraw is filming yet another movie, and this time it’s with one of the industry’s top stars, George Clooney. The two handsome gents are part of the upcoming Disney production, ‘Tomorrowland.’
McGraw will begin filming next week in Vancouver, according to Billboard. In addition to some big-name actors, ‘Tomorrowland’ is being directed by Brad Bird, whose talents include ‘The Iron Giant’ and ‘Ratatouille.’
The film’s synopsis (via EW) should be intriguing to many: “Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as ‘Tomorrowland.’”
The teen in the flick is played by Britt Robertson, and Clooney will act as the “former boy-genius inventor.” It will be interesting to see where McGraw’s involvement lies and what type of part he plays in this new film.
The country star previously hinted that he was acting in another movie, but he wasn’t sure if the role was surprising. It seems that ‘Tomorrowland’ is that movie — so we’ll just have to wait and see if McGraw actually plays himself, or someone completely different.
McGraw is no stranger to the film industry, as ‘Tomorrowland’ is his ninth acting gig. He’s worked alongside Sandra Bullock in ‘The Blind Side’ and Gwyneth Paltrow in ‘Country Strong,’ so working with the one and only Clooney may not be as intimidating as it sounds.

And here's what Tim McGraw has to say aboout the film:
As Billboard first reported, this week McGraw travels to Vancouver to start filming "Tomorrowland," a largely secretive project from director Brad Bird ("The Incredibles," "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol") with costars like George Clooney and Hugh Laurie.
"I can't say much about the script, but it’s a great story," McGraw says. "It's gonna be a really cool movie. I love the script."

Didn't the link work? Doesn't matter. He doesn't talk about George anyway. Just the only new article I could find that mentioned George.

Tim McGraw strikes a balance on the road
When things are calm at home and in between touring and recording, McGraw continues to read scripts for possible acting roles. Unfortunately, he says, he’s had to turn down some tempting projects simply because of scheduling conflicts, however he confirms that he will be appearing in the upcoming Disney science fiction film “Tomorrowland,” which is set for release in May 2015 and also stars George Clooney, Hugh Laurie and Judy Greer.
“I can’t really tell you much about it because it’s such a hush-hush project,” he says with a laugh. “They’ve threatened me with taking my first-born. All I can say is that it’s going to be a really, really big movie, it was a lot of fun to do and I get to play a rocket scientist.”
Though he daydreams about playing a James Bond or Jason Bourne-type character, McGraw says dramatic roles are his favorite to slip into.
“I guess I like leaning into the dark stuff,” he says. He reads a lot, which helps him prepare for roles, and since he’s been fortunate enough to work with some of Hollywood’s A-list, he’s had to zero in on sharpening his chops.
“When you’re doing something with someone who is better than you, you sort of rise up and get better,” he says. “That’s what I’ve found as I’ve worked with these Oscar-winning actors. Each time I’ve taken away something new and I’ve felt like I’ve learned something and sort of risen with the tide. With all the people I’ve been able to work with, it’s tough not to just to get lost in it sometimes and just have a lot of fun with it.”

McGraw Dishes On New Movie
admin | November 10, 2013
When Tim McGraw isn’t making music or being a dad to three daughters, he likes to do movies. His recent films include “Country Strong” with Gwyneth Paltrow, and “The Blind Side” starring Sandra Bullock. Now he’s at work on a George Clooney movie called “Tomorrowland,” and he spoke with Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton about the new film: “We’ve been working on this movie for the last couple of weeks. Shooting in Vancouver. It’s a great story. I can’t say too much about it, but I’m working with George Clooney and Hugh Laurie. For me, making a movie has to do with the story, and who I’m working with.”
When you make music, you get immediate feedback. With a movie, you’re sort of working blind. How do you handle those two different processes? “The toughest part with movies is the sit around and wait, because you spend a lot of time waiting. But for me what I enjoy is working with other actors, and filming the scene. You find yourself in that zone where you’re living in the moment, and when that happens, there’s nothing quite like it, you can feel the energy, it’s a cool experience.”
Do you have any scenes with George Clooney? I do, not many, we haven’t shot our scenes together yet. I’m a big fan of his. Not as big a fan as my wife is! But I’m a big fan. She’s not allowed to visit the set.”
When will you wrap on the movie? “In theory it wraps this year, and I’m told it’ll be released in 2014. I don’t know exactly when, but it’s an interesting script, interesting story, it’s got such a great heart to it, the way it’s driven, it’ll be a family movie, but hard to say without giving too much away. It’s interestingly done, from the perspective that it’s from, and the lessons it teaches are interesting.” Is this a different from what you’ve played before? “I don’t know if it’s totally different, but it’s a character that I’m getting to know and really like.”
