George should have already had the 4th today. They are always a day ahead of US there. But not for you from EU or aussie. Or anyone from across those deep blue seas.

No, Joanie, in regards to time zones, Australia precedes most of Asia, all of Europe....and usually 18 hours ahead of LA. You get there before you left when you fly from Sydney to LA & cross the international date line which is roughly near Fiji.
But it's still July 4th now in Sydney.
Not that I'm there.
I'm somewhere in the sunny Mediterranean.
