Hey gals, I am currently reading a lovely book entitled Dewey, the Small Town Library Cat Who Touched the World by Vicki Myron.
If you like animal stories, and are particularly fond of felines, I highly recommend this book. It's not a children's book, altho it would be a great one to read to your children. The author chronicles the arrival of an orphaned kitten, left to die in the library drop box, and weaves into the story a moving account of Iowa in days gone by. Warning! It's a five hanky read, but will give you chuckles along the way. Bittersweet and heartwarming - it kept me sane during my 'caveman days' with no electricity!

It's a full moon today, so watch out for weird behavior and pregnant women going into labor......

Oh I loved Andy Griffith! Sad news, indeed. May he rest in peace and may comfort and grace uphold his wife and daughter.

In case I'm not online tomorrow have a safe and happy 4th to all. It will be my oldest 29th birthday and all of us are planning a day swimming and BBQing, plus some at home fireworks, can't wait!

I read this book a few years ago. If you're an animal lover you'll love this book!

Thanks. I had falling statues of liberty and other assorted stuff which I wasn't wild about. I also tried firworks but they 'exploded' at the top of the page so it just looked like falling coloured circles.

My granddaughter Sara is having a graduation party in their backyard tomorrow, with a lot of different outdoor activities for her teen friends. Because it's projected to be 104 degrees in central Jersey, I suggested a wet t-shirt contest.

My family didn't approve - what a bunch of prudes. LOL

As you can tell... I had a wonderful holiday! I went boating, tubing, swimming, had great dinners out, and enjoyed family the whole time! Loved every minute! I hope each of you had a wonderful week, too!

You can go under your profile and make yourself hidden. That way you don't have the "online" banner on your avatar and your name doesn't show up on the list. You can still post and do everything and of course, people will see your posts and that you posted it, but they won't know if you're online now.
