In exciting news this week, the first wave of 2013 Teen Choice Awards nominees has been revealed, combining the forces of some of the most awesome celebs from movies, TV, music, fashion, sports, comedy and the web. (Read: T-Swift, One Direction, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and Gabby Douglas potentially hanging out together in one room -- which all you basically want out of an award show, right?)

The special is set to air on Sunday, Aug. 11, 8-10:00 p.m. ET, on Fox. For a sample of a nominees and their respective categories, check out some highlights below. For the full list of nominees, head over to the official TCA site.

I'm going to guess that the Teen Choice Awards are going to pick The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Just sayin....

No doubt in my mind. Just looking at the list and trying to THINK like a teen (I hurt my brain with that thought), ARGO and Ben don't stand out!

I cannot try to think like a teen. So I'm going to hope for Argo and see the results.

Are they chosen by "Teenaged Jo Publics" then ?

How does the voting happen ?

Do teens think? Perhaps Ben will go and bring along his oldest daughter, she would probably love it.

I'm surprised it's nominated. It wasn't that long ago that I was a teen myself, but even then I didn't have much use for this award show unless people I actually did like end up as nominations (I never was for trends). I think some of these are merely added by the producers or whomever so as to give some credibility to the awards show and to teens in general.
