Leo di Caprio
I was just reading this article about how Leo Di Caprio is slowly morphing into Jack Nicholson HERE when I saw this screen shot from the Great Gatsby and nearly had a heart attack: when was George in this film?

Yes, it's Leo, but just for a second or two there it really threw me!

It's uncanny, right? The hair, the head shape, the eyes, the jaw line, all look like George. It's only when you look at the nose which is slightly beakier that you notice it's not him.
I'm sure this is also helped by the fact that his mouth and chin are covered by the 'play' symbol because diCaprio is very different from George.

It is very similar, I don't mind Leo, loved him in the Departed. Maybe he models (get the pun) his lifestyle on George too.

I'm not a fan but he was excellent in The Aviator when he
portrayed Howard Hughes.
He deserved the Oscar for that performance IMO.

I'm not a diCrapio fan, however, a couple things I've seen him in weren't bad. I don't see any resemblance to George however. George is in and of himself. Period.

I did not see the resemblance at first, but then, when I crossed my eyes and let them go out of focus a bit.....just kidding. I saw why Katie thought it was George.
While I do not like him personally, I think he is a very good actor and I think he has unjustly been snubbed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. I have read that Gatsby is a flop, though.

Re: Leo di Caprio
I don't like him personally and I think he plays the same character over and over. From Titanic forward, he's been way over rated but, like Channing Tatum, for some reason, he was/is popular and he's been able to ride that to an A list rating. I only watch his movies when they are free and usually if I'm with a friend who insists.
He just doesn't do it for me with his faux moody stares and attempt to emulate Robert DeNiro (good luck buddy!) or even Jack N (triple good luck!). But then there's no accounting for my bad taste!

Re: Leo di Caprio
I think Leo is an excellent actor who plays a wide range of characters. From romantic (Titanic) to a cop (Departed) to biographies (The Aviator) to psychologial (Gilbert Grape). I also think Leo is an A-List actor who hasnt recieved an Oscar because Ive heard he has an attitude where he thinks he is that good and makes it vocal. Hollywood has a way of knocking someone down a notch.

I can see that, playful. He exudes an arrogant pr*ck attitude, which is why I never really liked him as a celebrity. Now I know why Hollywood establishment types have looked the other way.

Lots of nominations here. I would think I was good if I had this many as well.

Russel Crow is another amazing actor who has attitude and probably why he has never won anything

Re: Leo di Caprio
And yet, in spite of the fact Russell Crow has attitude, I like him as an actor. I guess I just can't see much difference in any of the roles Leo has played but with Crow, there have been times I was shocked to realize it was Crow. I hear Gatsby is horrible. Way over the top and over played by Leo and the director. They're trying to save it by pairing music and costumes and lots and lots of PR.

Re: Leo di Caprio
I also am not a fan of Leo, but honestly I couldn't tell you why. I haven't seen him in anything for years. He just seems like a wanna-be to me, and I, most likely way off base.
However I don't even like Brad Pit and I realize many do. To me he just give a dirty appearanc in trying the un-kept look. He was good with the rest of them in the Ocean's series, but that was a lot of fun and games. I really like Don C I would like to see more of him.

Don C in Rwanda (I think that was the name of the movie?) was amazing. He doesn't get enough credit.
