Yes it started yesterday and is for this weekend and next weekend. I've only started hearing about this festival. It has grown very big in the past few years.

Re: Stacy at Coachella
She was definitely styled and had her make up done for this. Has Brad G written all over the outfit from the boots to the fringe purse. A little too put together for a music festival but from what a buddy of mine who's gone to Coachella since it began says, once the celeb crowd discovered the photo ops available at this fest, it's turned into a hip red carpet event.
He hates it now because this festival really did begin as an incubator for new music. Now there's c and d list celebs all over and they have fewer new bands then they used to. Lindsay Lohan is apparently pushing her entry into rehab back just so she can go and be seen.
I can't wait for a Brad styled Como after seeing this! Ooh ladies the summer is coming. I do love those boots though!

Don't mean to be snarky, but she is too old to attend Coachella. I know some people who have done some publicity for Coachella and the average age of attendees is about 18 to 25.

Re: Stacy at Coachella
You know, I never thought I'd say this but I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for American women. It seems you have such a ridiculously long list of things you're forbidden to do once you're over 25.
Not allowed to party, not allowed to play drinking games, not allowed to have fun, not really allowed to drink, especially not slammers, not allowed to be silly, not allowed to go to music festivals, not allowed to wear certain clothes, not allowed certain hairstyles, not allowed particular makeup looks, not allowed to follow latest fashion trends, not allowed this, not allowed that. Who comes up with this bullshit? Or are these rules only for people called Stacy Keibler?
I'm British which is one of the most archaic, hidebound, stuffiest, institution-loving countries there is and even we allow more freedom to women than this.
I've known many American women over the years and none of them have struck me as shy retiring types to follow restrictive rules. It seems to me - and this is only based on the women I've known - that within five minutes of arriving in a country, they know all their compatriots plus half of the important local elite and have formed social committees and charity works to improve the place. [This is not a criticism, it's a rueful admission of my own lack of get up and go in the same situation] None of them would accept anyone telling them they were too old to do anything they wanted and I find it hard to believe that the women back home would be any different. You ladies, and I mean this with admiration, are a truly formidable force when you get together and you let nothing stop you. It's true that the women I meet tend to be embassy staff or wives of executives, so possibly they're more driven than the average but I find it really hard to believe that the American women back home are so very different.
Come on guys this is the 21st century, not the 1950s. Life doesn't end in your 20s and as long as you enjoy what you're doing and are physically capable of doing it, it's allowed no matter what age you are!

Thank you Katie! You're right. Hell I'm sure half the stuff I wear is considered way too young for me by some. I certainly hope it's just because it's stacy because I lived for many years in Japan and at 40 women were basically relegated to wearing gray or black. So...you're right. Party on Stacy!

Katie I absolutely agree with you, I'm Italian and in Italy there seems to be a lot more freedom to live life as I like without being judged. I often attend festivals and musical events with friends and meet my kids with their friends and for me this is normal!

Re: Stacy at Coachella
I don't think she is old to be there. I also don't think she is dressed inappropriately.... it seems like no one is dressed well. I agree with Oof that this is now just a place for celebrities to be seen and that is a shame. Especially since it was supposed to be the avant garde kind of event. Celebrities ruin everything. just kidding.
Again no one looks good it seems like every celebrity just wants to prove they are like "everyday" folk. Really silly....

Re: Stacy at Coachella
I have to say Stacy looks so much younger and happy at these kind of events. I think she is trying so hard to play a role when she's with George she ends up losing her joy. I wouldn't recognize her if I didnt know it was the same person. She's much more in her element when she's with celebs in her own age group and, the not so famous.

God Mel I love you! Missed that Di Crapio mention. I am beyond Meh with him. Think he's an over rated yutz! And, he's worse than George with the girls. He's also got to have a 20 year age diff and they all must be Victoria Secret Angels. He's going to have to find another outlet soon. He'll of gone through them all!

I think you are right OofOof Stacy's not so stiff here. I was looking at some of the red carpet from this year and I thought that George looked much more jubilant when not photoed together. But is only how it seemed in the photos that I saw. I was married to a man that was 18yrs older then me it's hard. Then he went and died at 54yrs. Life is funny.

Re: Stacy at Coachella
She finally tweeted about being there. There are two tweets but the first one just says she is posting a photo. I'm not into hip hop so I am not sure who she is talking about....although her fans said they are not from Baltimore....
The other two photos are pretty much the same.....

Re: Stacy at Coachella
Wu Tang Clan is one of the first hip hop groups--considered the best of the best by many. I have lots of their stuff. Think they started in the early 90's. For her she was in her early teens when they started so I can see where it would be cool for her.
I thought it was odd that Just Jared didn't post any of her photos with him. He certainly promoted his own "event" related to Coachella and no pics of her.
As far as seating, in the beginning it was a very democratic and cool event, according to my geeky friend who went from the beginning...before the celebs and corporations took over. Now, apparently, instead of everyone having the same opps to get good seating, VIPS do have special seating. Maybe she didn't get those tickets? There are a whole lot of celebs there, vying for Pap attention with their ridiculously alike "boho desert hippy" looks--or what their stylists think pass for the appropriate look. It is just sooooooooooo fake.
