Oof - its a deal LOL

I just had a very pleasant start to my day.
"Surfs Up!" here and the house at the back of this one has an outside shower and hot tub. Just watched two fit male surfers
use both after a surfing session.
Memo to self....Must get up earlier tomorrow ! Lol

I've just spent two hours doing Emergency First Response training which is always good for a laugh. It's mandatory for us to do this every year and it always amazes me how much I forget from year to year.

Anyway, I think our Annie dolls will recover from the assault in due course!

The little darling is persona non grata at the mo', Joanna. He's learned to say 'apple' which he says in my voice - it's really weird to hear your own voice coming from a parrot, btw.

Unfortunately, when I taught him, I thought you teach a parrot to speak the same way you'd teach a human, so I said slowly, clearly and loudly 'APPLE' to him every time I fed him an apple slice.

Turns out, parrots aren't human, they're more like recording machines so all day long he speaks to himself at a regular volume then all of sudden he slowly, clearly and above all, loudly says 'APPLE' like he's addressing a large group of deaf and somewhat dimwitted three-year olds.

"AP-PUL!" "AP-PUL!"

Not funny.

That's actually very funny....you should just tell people you "MEANT" to teach him that way.

LMAO Katie sounds like the bird has your number!

But you better be careful he doesn't learn anything else from you; for instance, if you should mutter angry words under your breathe after a fight with your boss or something. That could get tricky. You might have a traitor in your midst! hahahaha

On another note, when I collect my kidlets from school today going to hug them and kiss them for the billionth time this week, and remind myself, as we dont always stop and smell those beautiful roses, that there is still innocence and goodness to be seen and felt. There has been way too much sadness this week, Boston Marathon, Texas explosion, shooting at Boston MIT, all in my prayers, lets hope that there will be healing soon for all those affected.

So I've been watching Hallmark channel this month (since it's free) and I have to say some of the films are really good and then some are soooooo boring and sooooo sweet that not only could you get diabetes from watching you'd die of boredom at the same time!

And yet this past Sunday - ABC showed a new Hallmark film called "Remember Sunday" and it had me engrossed till the end - when I just had such a let down!

But up until that point I really enjoyed the film. But I really like Zachary Levi - who was in the TV show "Chuck" so it was worth it to watch.

Come on Hallmark! You're supposed to make movies that have great satisfying endings!!

Ive met the craziest person ever. I drive for a living, putting anywhere from 100-300 miles a day on my car. The engine in old faithful finally blew at 598,973 miles, so I bought an 84 Toyota, which I found out too late will never pass smog due to parts being extinct, and therefore no plates/registration. Ive been renting a car while Ive been looking for another car. Called on an ad in an online post, set an appt to look at it, and arrived at said location at said time. Called the guy to ask if he was there and he said he wanted me to get into his car so he could take me to the location where the car was. Told him I would much rather follow him and the guy blew up, got extremely angry, came running at my car pounding on it and said he wouldnt sell his car to a B* like me. I flipped him off and rapidly left. About three hours later I start getting phone calls for a car I have for sale. Lots of phone calls; over 1000 in the next four hours. Apparently this crazy guy put an ad in 8 websites listing this fabulous car for sale, low-ball price, and my phone number. This was three weeks ago and Im still getting phone calls. Called the police and they said they will file a report and that's all they can do. Called all 8 websites and only one was willing to remove the ad(s - he had me listed with three different vehicles). I consider this harassment and have no idea what to do about it. Im down to receiving about 75 phone calls a day now. Bec of my business changing my number would really complicate things. My son works with guys who are from the country that this guy was from, and he said those people are extremely vendictive people. There are time when I feel like doing him bodily harm, and then my good sense kicks in! How would any of you handle this?

That's a difficult one playful to deal with but I personally would just let it ride out. Some people are just too dangerous to mess with.

Is there any way of contacting the web sites who refused your request to remove the ads by letter ? If so, get a lawyer to write to them for you and they'll know then it's a genuine request.

Maybe it's a good opportunity to refresh your old business contacts?

Or buy another phone and turn off the old one.
Then you could check the numbers from time to time and call back the people you know.
