Re: Stacy Keibler in Berlin
I think a lot of planing went into this trip, how do the paps know where and when you fly in a private jet.
While the award-winning actor is currently in Germany with pal Matt Damon as they shoot new film The Monument's Men, Stacy posted a picture of the inside of a private jet as she flew to be with her other half.
I also think that she is going to need to have a lot of visibility from now until her show airs.JMHO

Re: Stacy Keibler in Berlin
I am not sure they were ever there together I was just going by memory of her trip last year while he was either in the Sudan or had just gotten back. Wasn't it this time last year that he got arrested in Washington DC? I think it was then.
Anyway I agree with you Mazy. Here is Rumor Fix's take on it. They know that they will be photographed just like when they go to dinner in the thirty mile zone in LA. Go someplace different --- I hate how now the talk will be about how holding hands is proof that they are so happy together.

George Clooney hasn’t addressed those pesky rumors that he and former wrestler Stacy Keibler are breaking up, because he let this picture obtained by RumorFix do the talking.
The British tabloid The Sun started the rumors by reporting,”George Clooney is back on the market. The actor and Stacy Keibler have split after deciding their relationship wasn’t going anywhere.”
Obviously they were wrong!
Just hours after the rumor crossed The Pond, Stacy Keibler got on a plane and headed for Berlin, Germany to meet up with her boyfriend of two years.
And on Saturday night the 51-year-old took his 31-year-old girlfriend to the swanky Grill Royal. And, just to make sure we all got the point — he held hands with his girl!

It wouldn't surprise me at all to learn that this trip has been long planned. They might even have a sort of 'no longer than three weeks apart' rule for all we know (allowing for work schedules etc). Supposition of course

I think this was planned they have to set a schedule to see each other. She was working so couldn't go with him. If her show has finished she will probably stay there for a while. Matt Damon is reportedly renewing his vows in April maybe they might go to that.

Filming in UK is not until mid May or June, according to schedule. They might not be in a alleged "relationship" till then.

She actually flew Virgin Atlantic and arrived at the main airport so easy to get flights last minute. Also if you let the paps know where and when you are going to be its easy for them to find you.

Just because it seems that some people are leaving OH, and I've read the same is happening on another GC fan site, it's because they are disgruntled with his love life and his girlfriend choices. I guess I can understand part of the disappointment, but I'm here because of George, the man I admire for his TV and film work and his humanitarian efforts. (and his eyes, mouth, package, hands, etc...). I do have friends who I don't agree with their personal life choices, but IT'S THEIR CHOICE, and I don't hate them nor would I abandon them for those choices.

Well, if his fanbase is based on whether his 'fans' dislike or like who he's with, then maybe that was his plan! What should he do - consult them?
I'm not sure he'd care. He's totally admirable for everything else in his life in my view, and has achieved wonderful world shattering things, and it's great to see him happy

Re: Stacy Keibler in Berlin
Nah, it's the same for every girlfriend he dates. Fans throw temper tantrums and storm off because he's not dating someone they approve of. You should have been around when he went back to porn star Krista Allen after dating Lisa Snowdon. We lost a lot of good posters in those days. Just the other day I was trying to remember the name of one of the regular posters; a really lovely woman from the mid west I think. One of the major fan sites shut down around that time too if I remember rightly.melbert wrote:Just because it seems that some people are leaving OH, and I've read the same is happening on another GC fan site, it's because they are disgruntled with his love life and his girlfriend choices.
And yet, George has no shortage of fans, no shortage of people going to see his films, no shortage of people writing about him - and by extension of that, reading about him.
I sometimes wonder whether maybe the definition of fan should be rewritten to mean someone who gains happiness from criticising the person they're following.
There's nothing he can do. Imagine living your life in a manner calculated to please other people even though it makes you unhappy, what a misery.party animal - not! wrote: What should he do - consult them?
No, George lives his life the way he chooses. If fans don't like it then I think he feels it's their problem.
He looks much the same way he looked the first time he got papped there with Bill Murray etc a couple of weeks ago. Back then we said he was maybe tired or cold.very vera wrote:uh.. yeah his recent pics he look VERY happy

Re: Stacy Keibler in Berlin
I may be way off, because I do have a medical short/long term memory problem, but when G was dating Eli and rumors were rampant about "had they broken up, or are they still together? And it had been over a month since they had seen each other. But he was filming the "The Descendants" in Hawaii(sp?) and all of a sudden she showed up,(like a surprise) and there were some pictures of them together, (but with NO chemistry at all !!!) just like Cracy! And at the time everyone said that it was a PR stunt to prove to everyone that they were still together, but shortly after,(not sure how long) they broke up. So this could be the same situation. Then again, they could stay together for who knows how long.........UGH !!!!!!

Just coming on board now and want to thank Lux for the pictures (a sight for sore eyes for me). Also thanks for everyone's comments today. I stayed in bed all morning trying to fight this dastardly stomach infection I have.
And vera if you don't like Stacy's smug expression maybe you would like to suggest a more appropriate look she can wear.

Re: Stacy Keibler in Berlin
I don't know how planned this trip could have been, when just a week or two ago Stacy was "trying" to plan a trip out to see him, according to her friends in one of the articles dismissing the break up rumors. At best, it's been planned since the rumors started.
As many people have posted, this could simply be Eli in Hawaii 2.0, in which the "relationship" is not over until George says so, press be damned. Or it could be a reunion of soul mates, who knows? If it were me, and I were trying to prove I was still together with someone, I don't think I'd choose to have dinner with my significant other...and a colleague. You'd think a romantic dinner for two would be in the cards. And since we have no way of knowing what goes on behind closed doors, or how much time they actually spend together, we can only go based on what we see: A man who for some reason appears to avoid being alone in public with the woman he's dating. Even when they haven't seen each other for weeks, and even then it was only for a night or two. Odd.

Fair point, but what I don't get is why anyone would put such credence on this rumoured, un-sourced quote? We don't know that Stacy was trying to book flights. All we know is that a gossip tabloid quoted someone who or may not even exist let alone know anything about Stacy's life.Missa wrote: I don't know how planned this trip could have been, when just a week or two ago Stacy was "trying" to plan a trip out to see him, according to her friends in one of the articles dismissing the break up rumors. Maybe there was one? Two dinners have passed since she arrived, and dinnertime number three starts soon.Missa wrote: You'd think a romantic dinner for two would be in the cards.
Yes, as long as we remember how little we see. At the moment she's been in Germany for two days (Friday evening, all of Saturday and now almost all of Sunday). The only thing we know is that they went out for dinner and she went out grocery shopping. That's a total of what, six hours? Six hours out of 48 hours gives us zero idea of what went on in the other 42 hours.Missa wrote: And since we have no way of knowing what goes on behind closed doors, or how much time they actually spend together, we can only go based on what we see
Maybe they were snuggled up in bed the whole time with romantic dinners, romantic breakfasts and romantic lunches a deux, or maybe she's not even staying in the same hotel as him and the first time he saw her was at the restaurant. There's absolutely no way of knowing.

Re: Stacy Keibler in Berlin
I know it's the nature of the beast and the industry they're in but it makes me sad that they feel the need to respond to media giants like TMZ, Daily Mail, Celebitchy...
In my very humble opinion, as someone involved in marketing, the best way to handle this would be not to handle it. Just live their lives the way it makes them happy--be it her in L.A. working and him in Berlin working--meeting up whenever they can and want. I have to admit, the dinner does look like a means to an end.
I'm not in the Stacy is Great Camp nor the Stacy is the Devil's Spawn camp. I just don't care one way or the other. But it is clear from the way they were "seen" that they wanted to be photographed. Her hair and makeup were professionally done. They went to a known celeb restaurant--one where he's eaten several times. And, they ate with another big star, yet another assurance that there would be interest in them being there.
For me, I just find it sad that an almost 52 year old man still has to play these celebrity games, in spite of the fact that he is a mega star. Does he really need to have this kind of media coverage, almost solely limited to who he's dating? I guess I'm in the camp that thinks, if he wanted to maintain his privacy, he would have either taken her to a small restaurant off the beaten path or they would have eaten in. I have no problem with them wanting the PR, just with the obvious "irritation" on his face at the pap's accommodating them. To me, if he's going to play the game, he should expect that all the idiots will converge on them and flash their cameras in their faces.
I just hope we can all "survive" this visit ladies. Lighten up. Enjoy the photos of George looking irritated at being photographed and of Stacy touring Berlin. And give thanks to folks like Lux who found a wonderful video and theminis who found the first photos of Stacy in Berlin and Laetval and Lela and all the rest of you who find things that don't seem to exist on "my" internet! Thanks ladies!

It is great indeed to have a GENUINE love life. If going by allegations that this is a publicity arrangement, then I guess I feel sorry for George Clooney.
Like thousands of people who bother to pay any attention (from what I hear, most people don't even know who she is in market research polls), I see no love connection, not even attraction between him and Stacy Keibler.
It's quite pitiful if he had to resort to "arranged pr stunts." It's rather lonely to not have a significant other half. That's why millions of people compromise & settle for someone, because they cannot find an ideal partner.
But if George Clooney wants to sell a public image based on deception, if these allegations are true, then it's very sad for him.
All I see between him & Stacy is a mutual friendship, without benefits. Why? For starters, there's no sexual chemistry between them. They do not seem sexually compatible physically. It's their appearance & chemistry.
George Clooney seems to be a very masculine man, and Stacy is no petite, feminine lady. Together, it's a mismatch. She's too Amazonian and not sexy in a way that complements him.

Re: Stacy Keibler in Berlin
Maybe George doesn't need a passionate love affair to keep him happy? Maybe the guy just likes good sex, when he wants it and on his terms? He may have decided a long time ago that the passionate love affair you're describing isn't for him? Obviously we don't know what goes on between him and Stacy. I would have to agree that I don't see much "passion" but then all we see are pap opps of them going into and out of restaurants or posing on the red carpet. Yeah, the easiness that comes from being with someone you love or have been with for a while doesn't seem to shine through with these two but hey, different strokes!

Me as well Amaretti but I do know several men who would love to have George Clooney's life. They go from one "relationship" to another and end them when they start getting "too serious." As they've gotten older, their dates have gotten younger. And, they seem happy enough I guess. Like I said, we're not all alike and for some people just having a f*ckbuddy is enough. Right now, I'd take one!

Actually Katie, it was Stacy herself, who said in one of those videos last week or two weeks ago that she was "trying" to get travel plans together. Don't remember her exact words or the event she was attending, of course but words to that effect.
The rest of your points are well taken. No one has any idea, other than these "snap shots" or "fragments" of any celebrity's daily routine, what their lives are actually like. What we see only takes seconds to happen and then there's the rest of the time, where we have no idea what occurs but we tend to put an exaggerated importance on those few moments we do get to see.

At the end of the day, I truly don't care whether they're madly in love (although I don't see it) or friends with benefits or employee and employer; just do whatever is is you're doing and stop playing these games. This is what people are talking about when they say George is as complicit in selling this as a love story as Stacy is. I personally don't believe your everyday Berliner could pick Stacy Keibler out of a lineup. All signs point to George orchestrating all of this press attention since she set foot in Germany. Mr. "My Private Life is Private" strikes again.
Missa- Clooney-love. And they said it wouldn't last

And at the time everyone said that it was a PR stunt to prove to everyone that they were still together, but shortly after,(not sure how long) they broke up. So this could be the same situation. Then again, they could stay together for who knows how long.........UGH !!!!!!
That's true -- but they did not break up until about 1 1/2 years later I think.

Fava, I believe that George finished Ides (where Eli visited), then went on to The Descendants (where she showed up again), then they broke up in June of the same year (2011).

Well good to see that she is keeping herself busy whilst visiting George. She is updated and playing around with her photos and whatnot on her facebook and twitter. Yep cause that was the point of going to Berlin.

He's always appearing desperate to sell himself for publicity. Like he craves attention & fear of fading from limelight so he wants to stretch the whole pr spin as much as he can. His photos are so staged and predictably dull.
Can't be doing it right if he lost the biggest endorsement he had, Nespresso, which will phase out past campaigns by the end of the year in Europe. Gone from rest of world.

My thoughts exactly! To me, this just reeks of either insecurity or gross narcissicism on George's part. There are LOTS of high profile actors out there who don't pander for attention the way George appears to. Meryl Streep, Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, Daniel Day Lewis, the list goes on and on....Sandra Bullock comes to mind, Kirstin Wiig, Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.....need I say more? These celebs aren't positioning themselves every week or so for publicity shots and then being quoted as saying how they value their privacy. They live it. Hell, even Mila Kunis and Ashton Kuscher manage to stay a little out of sight and quiet, living their romance as if it were REAL and not some strategically staged shallow romantic comedy movie.
Some on here say we don't really know what goes on with them other than what's shown on camera. Well, if there is passion and romance behind the scenes, why bother trying to convince the public (and not too well, if they are)? They're trying too hard, IMO, and that's why I think the whole thing is disingenuous. They're too eager to disprove any rumor of breakup and to be photographed together. If you say your private lives should be private, well then, act like it. I think a little mystery would only enhance George's appeal. This charade lessens my opinion of him tremendously.
