George Clooney: "my big problem"
If you ask me, George's biggest problem is having private conversations with people at parties and then reading about what he said in a newspaper.

GEORGE CLOONEY: MY BIG PROBLEM
Sunday December 2,2012
By Adam Helliker
A FRIEND who has just returned from California tells me of an interesting encounter with George Clooney, to whom she was introduced at a starry little gathering held at a film director’s home.
She says: “It was fascinating to have a chance to get to know this legend a little better. We ended up talking about his problems finding the right partner in life. The best line he told me was that ‘women expect to go out with George Clooney and then find out that I’m not George Clooney. I’m an ordinary guy. I can’t put an act on all the time.’”
My informant (who said she enjoyed flirting with George but didn’t really fancy him) got the impression he was getting bored with his girlfriend of the past two years, Stacy Keibler. At present model Stacy shares George’s home in Los Angeles, along with his black cocker spaniel called Einstein.
On past form he ends his romances after two or three years. He has notched up a tally of 10 girlfriends since his divorce in 1993 from his first and only wife, actress Talia Balsam, and has said he will never marry again.
The actor, who is 51, admits that he is not as “physically active” as he once was because of chronic back pain following a motorbike accident. He says of the effect: “The longer you sit upright or stand upright the worse it gets. As the day goes on, it feels a lot worse.”
He also suffers recurring bouts of malaria after a trip to Darfur two years ago; wakes up no fewer than five times a night and often has to go to sleep with the TV blaring. And his biggest fear? “I’m terrified of dying and having not accomplished the things that I want to do. I’m afraid of not finishing, or at least not participating enough.”
And as for those persistent rumours that the women who go out with Gorgeous George are just paid escorts; that he is actually gay but worried about coming out, here’s the star’s riposte: “Who does it hurt if someone thinks I’m gay? I’ll be long dead and there will still be people who say I was gay. I don’t give a s**t.”

Re: George Clooney: "my big problem"
Well common sense says he can hardly be expected to be Le actor all the time. I always thought he was more of a natural kind of guy with just being himself. bet he looks forward to going home and resting up that back

Yep. Load of old codswallop.
An amalgam of several other articles and 'interviews' over the years cobbled together to try and make it look like a new article. Oh dear

Re: George Clooney: "my big problem"
Considering he is the first one to say that nobody likes hearing a celebrity complain, I doubt he would then start complaining to some random person at a party about the woes of his life. I call BS.

I would not have a problem with him because I (purtroppo!!) Do not have more than 30 years, when I was 30 maybe I would have had a problem! I think this is the real problem!

I agree. Too many people expect him to be "on" all the time. He probably lays low sometimes becuase he tries to sleep more because when he is working he doesn't sleep that much. being on set is 12 hour days.

Joanna a 30 year old girl wants to fuck and gets tired of the man with back pain all night with insomnia even if this man is George Clooney. An older woman might have the same problems as George and understand him. His relationship may not last long for this cause! A George likes young women, but young women often have needs for young women.

Just a different way of slandering the man.
I love it when we get information like that. You can't prove it, you can't disprove it -- just a little seed planted in your head by someone who is jealous and being vindictive.
Such is the life of a celebrity, I guess.

Re: George Clooney: "my big problem"
I think the article sucks, however, most of what was quoted, George, in fact, has stated. He has back and neck pain and headaches; he has insomnia and is awakened alot during the night; he does sleep with the TV on; he isn't as active as he used to be; he's had malaria twice that we're aware of. But, after saying all that, she wouldn't have even had to meet him and she could pretend put that article together. George is not going to meet someone at a party and blab all that stuff, unless he was totally shit-faced drunk.

Re: George Clooney: "my big problem"
I call total bullshit on the entire blog commentary. With all the damn things George could talk to a woman about at a party he's going to whine about his back, getting tired of Stacy, whether people think he's gay blah blah blah? And if this was true which I don't believe, was the woman such a total bubble head that she couldn't find anything more interesting to steer the conversation to?
I'm with melbert - this is just another amalgamation of info that's out there for anyone to pick up and just put together. Adam you and your "friend" are walking knee deep in bullshit but you got your wish and you got posted on a world-wide Clooney blog.
Somebody come out with something new and entirely plausible and then maybe I'll believe it.
See if I was at a party with George I sure as hell would find more interesting things to talk about.
Damn he's got such a varied body of film work already under his belt and several more films in potential production. They could have talked about his directing work. Then there's his humanitarian work plus his political views - the state of politics here in the US and abroad. You seriously think he's going to whine about his health problems? Or wow, maybe they could have spoken about things that were of interest or about the gal.
I've got great funny stories to tell - you think I'd waste all my time listening to George whine? No, I'd have spent that time telling him funny jokes and recounting some of the crazy stuff that has happened in MY life. That's what makes for good conversation.
So I again call it -- bull - bull shit - and truly bull shit. And that's my opinion

Re: George Clooney: "my big problem"
OK, but all but one of those quotes were definitely said by George.
The only thing that's new-ish is the one sentence: "women expect to go out with George Clooney and then find out that I’m not George Clooney. I’m an ordinary guy. I can’t put an act on all the time,” and he has said something similar to this a very long time ago.
I don't know if he actually said that, but it sounds plausible. It's not whining, it's just pointing out a fact.

A lot of these so-called interviews are actually bogus. They take some facts and they embellish them into a fiction story strictly for drama's sake.

Don't agree with you , starting with the title "big problem " and continue writing picked facts"or so called" ,and putting them together in certain way to get a bad perceived picture of the man "that actually look away or opposite from the way we see him every day in and out red carpets and in candid pics" doesn't give the writer or her words credit or credibility.

Unless all the pics and red carpet has actually been "the act and being on"? Then I guess I could see what he's saying about women getting the "wrong" idea and expecting to see all of that, when reality is a bit dif?

I agree that the writer doesn't have a lot of credibility when 90% is cobbled together from old interviews but I don't see why this paints a bad picture of George.lolo wrote: starting with the title "big problem " and continue writing picked facts"or so called" ,and putting them together in certain way to get a bad perceived picture of the man "that actually look away or opposite from the way we see him every day in and out red carpets and in candid pics" doesn't give the writer or her words credit or credibility.

When you read in one place words like big problem , not“physically active”, malaria and then look at G who just finished Argo and directing his film in many places Across The Ocean and in home you read the words and the sad tone of it and you get image of hopeless man with big problems even with women , and it's not his truth !

Re: George Clooney: "my big problem"
It sounds like he has a prob with finding a woman who will not be dazzled by all that he is, enough to take him seriously, in a way he can live with. Who will actually see him as a man and not just a star, rich and famous. The charitable side of his nature isn't that hard to adjust to. His being "normal" here seems to imply exactly what it means, having normal expectations himself, but not finding it in the women who come along for some reason.
