That was the mid-1980's California look. He could not have gotten away with that kind of look in Cincinnati. He would have been laughed out of town.

He was 24 in this interview. Some young men sound youthful in their twenties, and when they reach 30, their voices get deeper. Well, I thought he was a babe back then. I remember sliently cursing myself
for not having met him in Cincinnati before he took off for Los Angeles Oh well.....

It's Me, apparently Charles Kuralt (a TV journalist that had a couple different shows in the 60s and 70s, maybe 80s) was on this show previous to George. George said he bought the book from Charles.
