My George Clooney crush has died
I am very fickle. The pink tinted sunglasses finally clinched it. Dreadful!

Oh It's Me, He just doesn't look very fancy-able anymore. There is no dark horse anymore. He just seems a lesser man somehow, weak. Not very attractive. The whole Stacy thing is too obvious for me. It's all very poor for an A lister.

Re: My George Clooney crush has died
I visited my elderly mother, a great ER fan, who was sitting down to watch a film, One Fine Day. And after years of having a life and never buying a celebrity magazine, never fancying someone off tv... I thought wow. Fast forward a few years and I saw Good Night and Good Luck with hubby and loved it. So they are my favs. I always liked him because he was above the tabloids....but he is not. Unfortunately.

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes it's better not to know so much about a star you like.

My "crush" died a long while back. Now it is just the car crash that I can't look away from.

Sorry to hear that Bidbod!
I understand. This stacy thing irritates, even insults and lets down many. It´s total garbage. (just look at todays headlines here… unbearable)
This is supposed to be a source for the information about GC and just is it possible for anyone's cup to so overflow with shit!
Good luck in everything!

Bibod, faint heart never won fair George! I too have been waivering of late, but as Lela says, there is always hope! Gee might just turn "that" corner, might just see sense. I think he's very confused, mid-life crisis even! It must be hard when one reaches that "age" of betwix, knowing that girls really don't want "you", but being seen with you is bearable. We can only hope that one day, he might fall into our arms (mine anytime!!), and be saved!

We must realize that it is actually himself.
That is my opinion. At his age, has no family, is alone.

George has a great family, he still has his parents which many would envy, he has a great group of close and loyal friends who love him no matter what.
But I do understand you mean a wife and kids - what is sad to me is that you say he is alone. Did it ever occur to you that maybe he prefers that? Really? Truly?
I've had issue with whom he dates but it IS possible to have a good life without it including a wife and children. I realize many of his fans want the fairy tale ending for HIM because that's the bill of goods we've been sold since we were children.
It starts with the fairy tales we are read as children and goes into society making such a huge deal of two people vowing to be with each other for the rest of their lives. I guess the big wedding in front of friends and family could be taken as a way to "guilt" the couple into making it work.
Think of what a couple who may start to have issues in their marriage might say or think: "What will people think if we realize we've made a mistake?" "We had such a big wedding!" "Our parents will be disappointed in us!" "It will make us look like losers." etc etc etc
I don't think George is necessarily immune to the potential of commitment but I think he's scared shitless of making another mistake and hurting someone very deeply.
See in his mind if he basically stays detached - once he ends the relationship to him he'll feel it's not as bad for the gals. Of course, that's all in HIS mind.

Re: My George Clooney crush has died
I agree Lorna I don't think he is alone he has a close family and close friends that are his family. At this time in his life he loves what he does and has often said he doesn't have the time to put into a wife and child that he should. I am sure he is probably close to his friends children. Not having a wife or children doesn't mean you don't have a very full and satisfying life, he does have a very full life. Who knows one day when he decides to slow down in his career he may find someone then to share his life. Right now he just settles for the Eli and Stacy type of girls. These type of women would date anyone who will help them get where they want to go, I think he knows why they are with him. He is not stupid.

Re: My George Clooney crush has died
Well, even if George does not want a wife and children, he should make better choices when he has a girlfriend, not settle for some bimbo who is just out for herself, and not him. Even id the relationship does not work out, well, at least he does not come out looking like a fool.

Probably he is just scared of being hurt.
And even if he's not in love with the women he is parading around in public, they can hurt him too and I think they do.
He should have that on his bill. Always.

Re: My George Clooney crush has died
I don't usually disagree with anybody here but my opinion is that he's earned the right to choose whoever he wants to be his arm candy. She's not imposing on his life, he does whatever he wants. If anything she is shaping her ambitions around his requests and work schedules.

Re: My George Clooney crush has died
Why would Clooney settle when he seems to get more enjoyment from "The Hunting" and "The Pranking" of a potential lifemate? Apparently, his fantasy world is much better than reality for some "OCD-type" reason....

I don't think George could ever look a fool.
He's far too talented, creative, generous, good looking
and wealthy !
Regarding his personal life...I believe he's old enough and experienced enough to know what he's doing.

Dior, some think that George is OCD. I have included the link to a description of OCD. It's too long to print the whole thing, so you can click on to read.

I do not think George needs a marriage to be peaceful and happy but it definitely needs a true love without limits or paranoia that seems to accompany his stories, sometimes I feel that he is a pesona cold and few feelings, in short a computer sometimes I think he's a person full of problems and fears. I still do not understand but I hope that at least has understood him!
