The vanity of George Empty The vanity of George

Post by . Sun 07 Oct 2012, 10:17

Magazine Rolling Stone, interview of 2011:
“I’m the least metrosexual cat you’ve ever met. I’ve never had my fingernails or toenails done, and I’ve cut my own hair longer than other people have cut my hair” Lying

Ok George, but the lamps and hair dyed?

I have no doubt that George dyes his hair, have you ever seen a man stay with the salt and pepper hair for more than 10 years? I do not!

Except in your offerings above lux...you're comparing his hair in "daylight" which shows the grey and then night shots where his hair would absolutely look darker because of the lighting.

And it's doubtful to me that anyone with George's natural energy would sit/lay still long enough to get into a tanning bed and have any effect.

Very good point lela - And it's so much easier for men to color their hair. Actually it's not fair, men's haircolor products work in 5 minutes or less and women's color products have to stay on for at least 45 minutes. Suspect

I have tried women's 10 minute hair dyes, and they do not last much compared to 45 minute women's products. I think they tell men to keep it in for 5 minutes, because men do not like to be kept waiting in any circumstances.

Also men usually have shorter hair.

While I do believe George is vain, I think the pictures here are taken in two different lighting conditions. If he's coloured his hair, he has most remarkable colourist on earth because they've managed to keep the tones the same, just make the overall colour darker.

In other words, where he's naturally lighter (temples) remain lighter after the supposed dye job than the rest of the hair.

I do believe he'd dyed his hair for the first season of ER - his hair was a medium brown colour then - and in the second season it went dark brown and there was a bit of grey in it.

@lelacorb: he isn't salt and pepper any more. He's grey with white hair now.

As for the tan, when he dated Sarah Larson fans thought they were using spray tan because both were noticeably several shades darker compared to pictures taken the day before. So yes, I guess he might well spray tan occasionally to keep up that George Hamilton look.

No, some of these pics clearly have dif lighting effects and in all of them his hair is darker. I think its the type which can be washed out with a strong enough shampoo. Think George likes to use natural products, like the soap and prolly just old fashioned cleansing shampoo. Remember somewhere on here that someone mentioned his use of soap, especially for shaving. Think he has some old fashioned ways that stem form his earlier days when not so well off.

Personally, I think that George may have lightened his hair a bit when he was on "The Facts Of Life." He looked like he had some blond lightening in his hair back then. I like his hair color back then, it looked so cool.

Nick Clooney's hair was also gray with white when he was George's current age. Nick went grey when he turned thirty, and got grayer by leaps and bounds, until by the time he was in his late forties, he had very little black color left in his hair. So, it is just George's genetics.

I think it's part of the Irish genetics to "go grey" early. My former brother-in-law went grey when he was in his late twenties. I always found it a very attractive look to have a young face and grey hair.

Got to agree with gray (salt & pepper) hair!

Other attributes I find appealing in general are sense of humor, eyes and voice.

... and weather beaten face beats baby boy face anytime! ( I donĀ“t mean he has one, but talking about my preferences...)
