Sandra Bullock explains George Clooney's 3-D fear

Recently, George Clooney expressed some concern about entering the third dimension in Gravity, his sci-fi adventure due next fall. Although he had a cameo in Spy Kids 3-D, he told USA TODAY, " It's the first time I've been in 3-D and, hopefully, the last time."

Perhaps his co-star Sandra Bullock, whose medical engineer ends up being stranded in space with Clooney's seasoned astronaut, can elaborate on why he had such a bad reaction to the process.

Says the actress, whose latest film, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, opens Christmas Day: "You mean Jorge? Jorge Clooney?" -- which is apparently how their Mexican-born director Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men) prefers to call him. Then, she explains: "God help us all when my face comes rushing at you with no makeup on. I'm going to apologize now, but Alfonso, in a brilliant move, said, 'No makeup.'"

So what was Jorge's problem? "Our vain little heads are going to be some massive 17-foot image. You are going to see details because it's shot on this digital film that shows everything. It's so scary. There are scenes where you say, 'This is where you have to let go and let God.' And, thank God, there are no nude scenes."
