Pre-Rolling Stones
By Rolling Stone
November 9, 2011 8:00 AM ET Photo: Mark SeligerGeorge Clooney is the kind of movie star who can seem too perfect to be real, but in the latest issue of Rolling Stone, on stands and available through Rolling Stone All Access on November 11th, the actor and director reveals that he's actually a pretty ordinary guy despite his looks, success, charm and fame. Well, sorta. In an interview with contributing editor Erik Hedegaard, Clooney is candid about sex, his struggle to keep control of his temper and his passion for politics. "My name is George and the world is in trouble," he says. "I can name you 40 hot spots in the world right now, and not just physically violent hot spots, but financially violent hot spots as well."
Other highlights from the story:
• Clooney reveals that that while he lost his virginity at the age of 16 ("young, very young, too young"), he had his first orgasm when he was much younger. "I believe it was while climbing a rope when I was six or seven years old," he says. "I mean, nothing came out, but all the other elements were there. I remember getting to the top of the rope, hanging off the rope, and going, "Oh, my God, this feels great!"
• Despite his debonair appearance, Clooney's sense of humor can get a bit sophomoric. For example, the word "Johnson" always makes him laugh. "Always. 'He showed her his Johnson and she left.' You can actually say that in mixed company or on late-night TV." He's also pretty fond of farts, especially when hanging out with his pals. "We think it's one of the funniest things in the history of mankind. Even the idea of a fart makes me laugh. Saying the word 'fart' makes me laugh. I have iFart on my phone. I have remote whoopee cushions. Farts. To me, there's nothing funnier."
• He's perfectly fine with his current lady, former pro wrestler Stacy Keibler, tweeting about "smiling all day long." "She can do whatever she wants," he says. "I rarely tell anybody what they should be doing with their life."
• He may be one of the biggest celebrities in the world now, but Clooney grew up in the shadow of his father, a local TV newsman in Ohio and Kentucky. "You have to remember that in the microcosm of Cincinnati, Ohio through northern Kentucky, my father was a big, big star. So that made my sister and me really visible. Everybody knew us, talked about us. If I scored 15 points in a basketball game, the paper would say 'Nick Clooney's son scored 15 points.'" The fame was especially difficult for Clooney as he was struggling with the onset of Bell's palsy, a form of facial paralysis. "It was very awkward, being watched like that, everybody looking at us, and then all of a sudden your face goes flat? My dad would always say, 'It's going to go away, you'll be fine, you can handle it." But it was a tricky thing. So, you develop a better personality and learn how to make jokes about it."

Great find Hen, fun interview. Always knew he had a sophmoric sense of humor, that's why all those elaborate practical jokes.
Every once in a while, he gives us a glimpse of his life that we never knew before. I love that, and even enjoy that it is only a tiny bit at a time.

Thanks Hen, nice interview and like Pattygirl said:
" Every once in a while, he gives us a glimpse of his life that we never knew before.".
I am just supprise by the part :
/qoute/:
" He's perfectly fine with his current lady, former pro wrestler Stacy Keibler, tweeting about "smiling all day long". "She can do whatever she wants," he says. "I rarely tell anybody what they should be doing with their life.""/unquote/.
What happened to the "" my private life is private"". Doesn't he consider her as a part of his private life ?

Please Cindi don't do that. We need people with different opinions. This is what keep us going. It will get boring if we will agree on everything.cindigirl wrote:I may be the only one who thinks Stacy is just his PR girlfriend. Well, I'm just going to let that one go. Time will tell.

Yes, I have to admit... Cindi might be onto something... Because if he doesn’t talk about his private life, which he’s said many times... so, what he said was not about his private life…

Re: Rolling Stone interview November 2011
We, as a group, are never satisfied, are we?
We complain when there are no Clooney sightings, when he is in his "private mode". Now we complain when he is seen with a pretty young thing, in his public mode.
If he's doing the PR thing, which is the general consensus, why not pick someone who always appears happy and is always smiling. Have you ever noticed a lot of those PR ladies are stiff and plastic. At least SK comes across as fun. We prefer George alone, however, most followers would find it weird if he was, and this would feed those "G" rumors.
Remember, gossip is king and these "reporters" constantly make up sh*t.

Gotta love an interview where they don't bring up the no marriage thing. We actually get a glimpse of HIM not some cut and paste response to the same old questions. The rope thing was totally random though.

Patty, if George were ever alone I believe he would avoid cameras like the Bubolic Plague. LOL
I think he was very unhappy about the photos taken of him and Stacy in Cabo. And these photos happened due to her tweeting about her being in Cabo (an invitation for the the paps to visit them). Maybe that's why he asked her to cut down on her tweets. I remember him with Eli when they first started dating and he was happy to be seen with her. There's something very off about the Stacy relationship. IMO

George Clooney Says He Once Considered Suicide, Lost His Virginity At 16
Posted on Wed Nov 9, 2011 10:40 AM PDT
george-clooney-230-rs-cover.jpgGeorge Clooney chats with the latest issue of Rolling Stone, and the 50-year-old actor reveals all sorts of interesting details about his personal life.
Clooney says he lost his virginity at the age of 16 ("young, very young, too young"), and he had his first orgasm when he was much younger. "I believe it was while climbing a rope when I was six or seven years old," he says. "I mean, nothing came out, but all the other elements were there. I remember getting to the top of the rope, hanging off the rope, and going, "Oh, my God, this feels great!"
On a more serious note, Clooney admits he briefly considered suicide after a spinal injury that occurred while he was filming Syriana in 2004. Clooney says he was in excruciating pain and drank a lot during that period to "anesthesize himself."
When asked if he has a girlfriend right now Clooney replies, “I might have a girlfriend, but I’m never going to talk about it. I get one thing to keep to myself.” However, the reporter does ask about Clooney's lady love Stacy Keibler's cryptic tweets (“I’m in heaven,” for example), to which he responds, “She can do whatever she wants. I rarely tell anybody what they should be doing with their life.”
Finally, the Ides of March star reveals that the simplest things make him laugh. "[My friends and I] think [farts are] one of the funniest things in the history of mankind. Even the idea of a fart makes me laugh. Saying the word 'fart' makes me laugh. I have iFart on my phone. I have remote whoopee cushions. Farts. To me, there's nothing funnier." Hmm, has he ever hung with Jessica Simpson?
Wonder what Stacy thinks about him keeping a lid on their relationship? /unquote/
WOW, I never heard that he considered suicide after his injury in Syriana.

WOW, I never heard that he considered suicide after his injury in Syriana.
Anesthesizing oneself is not thinking of suicide. Everyone who has surgery has anesthesia even if it's only a "local". Anesthesia is a general or local insensibility, as to pain and other sensation, induced by certain drugs.
Alcohol was George's drug of choice, to dull the pain. But not to kill himself.
I think George has an aversion to pharmaceutical drugs because of his Aunt Rosemary's problems - he learnt early on it is way too easy to become addicted to prescription drugs, and so he drank to dull the pain.
On CU others have posted his denial of the suicide stories:
This is what he said:
"I think, if you listen to the piece, I certainly did not talk about wanting to kill myself. I was talking about the idea of living for years in that kind of pain. Please don't use my words out of context." [Responding to media reports that he had contemplated suicide following surgery]
It seems that not even Rolling Stone is above "re-inventing the truth".

Ya know, CindiGirl... This comment alone has to make you wonder... I mean, he could have said, "Yes, I have a girlfriend. but I'm never going to talk about it." So, if SK is his gf... that isn't very nice to her... is it?When asked if he has a girlfriend right now Clooney replies, “I might have a girlfriend, but I’m never going to talk about it. @ Sisieq and Charley, if this is the reason for his comment, it will mean that EC statements got to him in some way.
If he will try somehow to explain her comments about " his personality or relationship with her ", he has a long way to go.

Many years ago he said (i guess it was on jay leno), that he can understand people getting addicted to pain killers&antidepressant drugs (?) and talked about his depression. no im sorry,a man who says that one the most amusing things is a fart, that at 50 years he has one fart on his phone, and that even the word fart makes him laugh ,for me its unbearable;now imagine him during the premieres, among his fans screaming, doing all his charms, signing autographs and in the meanwhile hes farting to everybody

Lela this so funny, "+'' for you. I think this part of the interview was to long. He put to much into this. If he thinks is funny, fine, but maybe few words would be enough, and it would not be such a disappointment to a lot of people.

Doris, RFOL - now when I see him at his premieres charming his fans, I will imagine his farting in his tuxedo. LOL

of course he can do all the farts he likes,from morning to evening and also while sleeping but there was not the need to tell us;

Yes, Doris. He talked about it, in an official interview, so we can also say our opinions about his comments.

MM - yes - waaaay too much information. I know he's trying to convince people he's just a regular guy, but I know couples who wouldn't even think of farting in front of each other until way into the relationship. And he announces it to the world. Maybe he's trying to squash his sexiest man alive personna. That's the way to do it!
