Stacey Keibler's Advice for DWTS Contestant and Clooney's Ex Elisabetta Canalis!
Stacy Keibler and Elisabetta Canalis have more in common than being the object of George Clooney's affection (at some point).
Both babes have put on their dancing shoes to tango on Dancing With the Stars.
Stacy was a contestant on the second season of ABC's hit show and took home third place, so I got the leggy girl's advice for this season's current competitors when I caught up with her last night.
What were Stacy's words of wisdom?
She said you've gotta stay focused at all times.
"You can't stop thinking about the dance," she told me at the Appleton Estate Reserve bartender challenge last night. "When you're sleeping, when you're cooking, when you are doing whatever you are doing. I think it is important that you put all that hard work into it and when you go out there, you just have to let it go and have so much fun and really try to entertain the crowd and just have a great time."
Stacy says she didn't decide on any front-runners just yet since the series hadn't premiered yet when we chatted during the bartending bash at Hotel Chantelle.
The bubbly blonde is keeping mum, however, when it comes to her romance with George.
When I asked her how it felt to be dating one of the sexiest guys alive, she said, "I'm not going to talk about that."
But Stacy's got more on her plate than just accompanying George on Italian vacations and to his film festival premiere parties. She's got a movie of her own coming out soon.
"It's a dark comedy," she told me. "I play a little bit of a hoochie in it."
So will George be her plus-one for own her premiere? Stay tuned!

If this movie has a premiere some don't- then it will be interesting to see if George escorts her to her own premiere.

Re: Stacy Keibler has a film role
Hasn't George made a point of NOT attending events that are tied to his latest flame? Sarah and her runway gig? NO George. Eli and her best friend's wedding? No George. Eli and her modeling gigs especially in Europe? No George.
So I don't see George showing up for Stacey's premiere (if there is one) cause as we are all too painfully aware - these interchangeable women are arm candy for George - not the other way around.

For those who are interested -
link for a 2011 television movie - release date,September 2011
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
The other, I'm going to guess there will not be a big premiere as the budget was only $1,800,000 (estimated) (according to IMDB)

Wow, 2 movies. Wonder if she's hoochie in both. Can't wait to see them both. Am anticipating them as much as IOM and TD (sarcasm abounds here, just so everybody knows).

I don't think hoochie will get her far. I probably shouldn't say this but she looks so much like one of Charlie Sheen's gfs. (The one who was in the hotel room with him when he went wild). Her name is Capri Anderson and she's a porn star.

That is so true. Stacy has that blonde bimbo look and it isn't unheard of for a WWF girl to go into porn. Wow two movies don't think she got paid too much with a budget like that. Probably hoping to get some more gigs.

Not trying to be mean, but Stacy Dash looks to be the main character, so I'm going to guess this is going straight-to-video.Dexterdidit wrote:That is so true. Re: Stacy Keibler has a film role
At least the TV movie has some names in it that are recognised. The big movie is a complete list of who isn't anybody in Hollywood. I agree it will be lucky to make it straight to video I doubt there will be a premiere no one would show up. At least the made for tv movie will get shown I doubt the movie will get to see daylight. I'm thinking she will get some more high profile gigs so she better grab them while she is with George!

Re: Stacy Keibler has a film role
True but being a woman she doesn't have the same time allowed that George did. Most women find it harder to get roles and Stacy is what 32 for a starlet that is pretty old. Even ABC tried to give her a kick start by putting her on a talent contract and putting her in some of their shows but that doesn't seem to have elevated her as an actress either. I'm thinking she is probably pretty limited in what she can do and bimbo roles go to younger women each year. Not sure she wants to be an actress or just famous as most do these days. I loved George in Attack of the killer tomatoes what great lines he had....lol and the hair!

Re: Stacy Keibler has a film role
Yeah, I think c-list (with a temporary bump to a-list thanks to the Clooney connection) is probably as far as she'll ever get. What I'm saying is that's still not bad. She calls herself an actress among other things and she's getting acting jobs so she's ahead of the game there. By definition not everyone can be a star.
No idea what she wants to do with her life. I'm assuming 'be a celebrity' is what she's aiming at until she can become a full time mother but that may be misjudging her.
As we said with Sarah Larson and Elisabetta, in your early 30s is too old to try to make it as a model. Sure, you can pick up occasional modeling jobs and the runway is always an option (no real age limit on catwalk shows as long as you're tall and thin) but the option to call yourself a full time working model is over for all but the very top models.

Re: Stacy Keibler has a film role
Actually I saw recently stacy in a rerun of How I Met your Mother and her acting skills were ok, not great. It was sort of funny because she looked much taller than some of the cast. She wore flats in the scenes. I have read that it is hard for very tall actresses to get parts because many directors and leading male actors don't like it when the actresses are taller than them. Also, I think by now if she wanted to do modeling and do run way work she would be living in New York and in Europe doing that sort of thing.

Re: Stacy Keibler has a film role
Modeling and runway work is very grueling. It pays well for the very best but the hours must be offputting. As for being a very tall actress, it didn't stop Katherine Hepburn, she towered over many of her leading men, and it wasn't detremental. Definitely towered over Spencer Tracy, and wasn't a problem with acting or their love life.
I have to correct myself. Katherine Hepburn didn't tower over ST @ 5'10, she was 5'7. Just seemed that way because she always wore heels. Back then 5'7 was pretty tall then add the heels. Always seemed to. Sorry.

Re: Stacy Keibler has a film role
Actually Katie, after you're 25, you're already too long in the tooth to be considered an "ingenue" so at 31 or 32, the best they can hope for is a bit or walk on part, maybe a supporting role if you have really good representation and mainly that work would be in television. If you don't have some kind of name recognition by the time you're in your late 20's early 30's (and I don't mean from wrestling either) something is very wrong and you won't get anywhere in film on the big screen.
Edited to add: I'm sure there are exceptions but you would have to be "really" talented for that to change the dynamic in Hollywood...many many women have tried to change things but it hasn't netted anything substantial in the way of change of attitude towards women and aging.

Re: Stacy Keibler has a film role
I agree Lighter. I don't expect her to make it big. To be honest, not sure if she even has the talent to do any better than she has.
My point was that even what she has achieved and is continuing to achieve is no small feat. She's working which is something many very talented actors can't always say.

I completely agree, in Hollywood "lucky breaks" are almost as important as having the talent to take you somewhere when you get one. There are more very talented people who aren't working than there are working people who possess little or no talent. It doesn't take long to fall flat on your face even with the "lucky breaks", if you don't have the stuff necessary to stay on top.

Re: Stacy Keibler has a film role
It was a television movie so easy to miss. I think Stacy just wants to be famous and while she might have a bubby personality I don't think she has the acting talent to get a good movie career. She has been around awhile and hasn't gotten that far. I think as long as she can make some cash and get her picture taken she will be happy. I don't see her getting a leading role in a movie anytime soon, George or no George! I think Stacy's 15 minutes are probably about up and this fling with George is a big opportunity for her. But like Eli I don't think Stacy is going to get too far due to a lack of talent, I think Stacy really needs to start looking for that husband who is happy for her to be a stay at home mum!

Re: Stacy Keibler has a film role
Premise (not confirmed). Stacy's character is a professional groupie - So. many. jokes.
According to our source - who was a key member of the film's production, DYSFUNCTIONAL FRIENDS is about nine friends who were all very close in college but since have become estranged. The nine friends are brought together at the funeral of one of their friends --- AND HERE'S WHERE IT GETS GOOD. The deceased friend's will states that each friend will receive a large sum of money IF and only if, the nine estranged friends can spend a week together in the same house. No really, this is the premise of the movie. Now if Rock Mayock and I were mortal enemies and Jaboner Jackson dies and leaves us $250,000 each, with the stipulation that we have to live together for a week, it wouldn't be a problem. But not for these nine friends! Ohhhh no! They can't stand each other, and their individual patience is tested, and some threaten to leave the house before they can receive their inheritance! THE STAKES ARE HUGE!!!
In a stretch for him, T.O. plays a professional basketball player named "Jackson". He's engaged to one of the nine friends, "Lisa" - played by the BOING gorgeous Stacey Dash - and accompanies her to the week long live-in session inside the deceased friend's house. Lisa's old flame happens to be one of the friends, so this annoys Jackson. Another one of the nine friends is a professional groupie named "Storm" - played by the BOING BOING Stacy Kiebler - who we find out has a history with Jackson, so this annoys Lisa.
Sounds terrible? Well according to our source, to say that the movie is terrible would be a compliment. The movie apparently is SO BAD, that T.O.'s performance actually seems pretty good - if that makes sense. After hearing our source's full account of what the movie is about (trust us, we saved you the pain of reading a full synopsis) - we predict a straight to DVD play, even though there seems to be an OK cast (Tatyana Ali and Reagan Gomez-Preston add to the boing-meter).

Someone would have to pay me to see that movie! It sounds just odd, here's a thought if they all hate each other that much just stay in your room for a week. I guess they all end up as great friends again in the end and all learn that you need to accept each others faults. Doesn't sound like too much of a stretch for Stacy. Nice to know her acting talents are on the very important Boing, Boing meter. I predict it will be straight to DVD and it may never actually make it here too Oz.
