George Clooney was seen behind the camera directing the film adaptation  of Daniel James Brown's 2013 novel The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
While on set of his latest project in London, England, on Monday, the 60-year-old actor sported a padded black jacket and a pair of dark-wash jeans. 
He paired his laid-back look with a neon green safety vest with grey stripes and his blue-tinted aviator sunglasses perched on top of his head.

The two-time Oscar winner, who is serving as both a producer and director on the movie, also wore a N95 respirator amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 


He will be directing a star-studded cast, which includes Joel Edgerton, Jack Mulhern, Sam Strike, Luke Slattery, Thomas Elms, Tom Varey, Bruce Herbelin-Earle, Wil Coban, and Hadley Robinson.
Additionally, Callum Turner will be involved.

Brown’s best-selling novel is about the true story behind the University of Washington’s rowing team that traveled to the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin to represent the United States.

The athletes ultimately brought home gold. 
Like the book, the film will also follow the men's financial struggles during the Great Depression.

Deadline describes the plot as one about a 'triumphant underdog story.' 
Last month, Clooney was spotted on the set of his new romantic comedy, Ticket To Paradise in Australia.
Ticket To Paradise is due for release in October this year, with high expectations for its success because of the reuniting of George and Julia Roberts after box-office successes Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve in the early 2000s.
