Nobody thought that George Clooney would ever tie the knot again after his divorce in ‘93. So it was a happy twist of fate when he got married to Amal Alamuddin in 2014! And then, in 2017, at the age of 56, George became a first-time-father when Amal gave birth to Ella and Alexander.

Yes! George married Amal Alamuddin in 2014, in a lavish ceremony held in Venice with over a hundred guests. She’s a Lebanese-British lawyer, known for taking on human rights and international law cases. She was recently appointed as the special envoy on media freedom by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and she’s handled many high-profile cases over the years.
Some of her clients include WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, Al Jazeera journalist Mohamed Fahmy, and former Philippine president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Beauty and brains – George definitely lucked out when he married her!

We never talked about it until after we were married, which is funny,” George said. “There was an assumption that we didn’t want them.” But when he got the news that Amal was pregnant, George was reportedly excited, and couldn’t wait to take care of the children!
On June 6, 2017, Amal gave birth to twins Ella and Alexander. Though Ella and Alexander have the same genes, they also have very different personalities! George claims that Ella Clooney is more like Amal, and already has an eye for fashion. “My daughter is up in my wife’s closet with purses going, ‘Mine!' So I see this is going to be a fun, fun life for me.”
Alexander Clooney, on the other hand, is more outgoing and confident than his sister. “[Alexander] is a thug already,” George said. “He’s a moose! Literally, he just sits and he eats.”
It looks like the twins are already benefiting from their parents’ globetrotting lifestyle. George boasted that they already knew their ABCs in English and Italian. No doubt they’ll be just as smart and talented as their amazing parents!

In December 2018, the media got a rare glimpse of Amal leaving the Four Seasons hotel with Ella and Alexander. While we loved Amal’s trendy leopard coat, we’re absolutely obsessed with the twins’ tiny matching sneakers and comfy jackets. That little white hat with the pom-pom is perfect for the cold weather!

The Twins Travel To See More Of Their Dad

George was filming the Hulu TV series Catch 22 in Sardinia. Amal and the babies arrived to live with him for the summer. This picture of George with one of the twins was taken when he greeted them at the airport. It’s sweet that George had his wife and the kids over at a beautiful private villa while he worked!
