·         A TOP barrister has quit Amal Clooney's law firm after being accused of being a Twitter troll who targeted anti-semitism campaigners.
·         Daniel Bennett was alleged to be part of a pro-Jeremy Corbyn account which hurled abuse and harassment against people involved in Labour anti-semitism claims.

·         He worked for Doughty Street Chambers on personal injury cases, but has resigned his post.
·         The account, @arrytuttle, was deleted when another Twitter user pointed out similarities between it and Mr Bennett.
·         In July he claimed "many people run that account and I have not been involved in it for years", but it has since emerged he has now resigned over it.
·         One of his colleagues, barrister Adam Wagner, put in a formal complaint about Mr Bennett, the Jewish Chronicle reports.
·         He said he was accused of "being an anti-semite, an absolute danger, a hater of leftist Jews, of being hired to 'get Corbyn'."
·         Mr Wagner said: “I take no issue with people disagreeing with me politically or legally but this is something different: personal/professional abuse and harassment from an anonymous account which held itself as being run by a barrister.
·         "On a personal level this has been an extremely distressing experience.
·         "I get a lot of this kind of abuse from anonymous accounts but to find out this was happening in my workplace is something else.”

·         On July 10, Mr Bennett tweeted: "I have spoken today to @DXWQC with whom I was at school and emailed @AdamWagner1 with whom I work.
·         "I wish to apologise unreservedly for any offence caused to them by the account @arrytuttle and confirm that I do not support or endorse any attacks on them."
·         "This account was set up in 2010 to counter allegations in media against locals in a Town Green dispute concerning Bristol City FC. The anonymity was necessary due to threats from supporters.
·         "The dispute ended in about 2013. Since then the account has drifted with many involved."
·         Mr Bennett has been approached for comment. Doughty Street Chambers confirmed he no longer works for the firm.
·         Since Mr Corbyn became leader in 2015, he has been dogged by critics claiming the Labour party harbours anti-Semitic activists and campaignersamong its membership.

Yeah, yeah she can't control headlines.... but, it's not the first time it's been her team, her law firm..  Bet it ain't winning her brownie points at the office..

Doughty Street is not Amal’s law firm. The Sun has chosen to make that claim. I’m really interested for PAN to weigh in on this ...

Well, there's always one in an office, isn't there? And he's resigned. He was based in the Bristol offices and is a personal injury lawyer

He's clearly upset about our leader of the opposition's treatment of the Jewish population and was trying to find a way to broadcast his views....

And Mr Murdoch's rag (he who owns Fox) is looking to fill a few column inches over the slow news day period of the summer holidays.

Thanks PAN for your take. I didn’t realize how big Doughty Street was. And of course the only name that would most likely be recognized by most readers would be Amal’s.

Her name makes the headlines, that's for sure. Otherwise it would just have been a small mention somewhere.
