It’s holiday time for the Clooneys as they arrived in Sardinia for a bit of R&R with the kids.
George , 57, and Amal, 40, carried their twins Ella and Alexander, both 1, from a private jet in the island’s airport.
The family looked ready for a sunshine-filled break on the Italian isle, with Amal wearing some fun, flower-print trousers and a white vest top, while George looked dashing as ever in cream linen shorts and a white polo top.

The big-hearted couple recently donated $100,000 the Young Centre for Immigrant Children’s Rights - which advocates for the fair treatment and safety of immigrant children in the deportation process - following Donald Trump’s deplorable forced separation of more than 2,000 children from their parents.
“At some point in the future our children will ask us: is it true, did our country really take babies from their parents and put them in detention centers?” the Clooneys said in a statement. “And when we answer yes, they’ll ask us what we did about it. What we said. Where we stood.
“We can’t change this administration’s policy but we can help defend the victims of it.”

Meanwhile, the normally very private Amal paid tribute to her husband in a speech recently, describing her great love for him.
"I’m told that I would display a particular grin and head-tilt when reading his text messages or the letters he would hide in my bag," she shared at the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement Award gala earlier this month.
"Five years later, none of that has changed. He is the person who has my complete admiration and also the person whose smile makes me melt every time."

Looking at a teary George, she continued, "My love, what I have found with you is the great love I always hoped existed. And seeing you with our children, Ella and Alexander, is the greatest joy in my life."
She described the Ocean's Eleven star as a 'gentleman in every sense of the word and in a way that seems so rare these days and perhaps even outdated," adding that despite his fame, he has never forgotten his Kentucky manners.
"You fill our home with laughter and happiness and that’s even before the children have worked out that ‘da-da’ is actually Batman, a talking fox, and friends with Mary Poppins.

"I’m so proud of you my love. Congratulations on this great honor that you’re receiving tonight.
"I’m proud of you, but I also know that when our children find out not only what you have done, but who you are, they will be so proud of you too."

Re: George and Amal Clooney arrive in Sardinia Today
Interesting that the European papers blur the kids' faces. The NY Post published a shot of them on Page Six and showed the twins clearly - but then again, the Post is no fan of George.
( Glad to see the beard is gone. Probably for the series, but I hope he keeps it off. It makes him look so old.)

George Clooney proved again on Saturday that he has become a happy family man.
The 57-year-old Oscar-winning actor looked very attentive as he greeted his 40-year-old wife Amal and their twins - Alexander and Ella, both aged one - at the airport in Sardinia, Italy.
The star, who has grown a mustache for his role in the new TV series Catch 22, was seen holding one of the children as he came off a private plane.

Happy father: George Clooney greeted his wife Amal and their twins - Alexander and Ella, both aged one - at the airport in Sardinia, Italy on Saturday
Clooney was fashionable in a white shirt with light khaki slacks and thick-soled white sneakers with a green stripe. The former ER staple also wore his grey hair very short and seemed to have a deep Mediterranean tan.
When he stepped off the private jet, the Ocean's Eleven actor also held onto a children's book that had a musical sidebar.
The child he was holding, which was likely Alexander, had on a white shirt and rolled-up blue jeans with no shoes or socks on.

Handsome papa: Clooney was fashionable in a white shirt with light khaki slacks and thick-soled white sneakers. He also wore his grey hair very short and seemed to have a deep Mediterranean tan
His beautiful wife had on a white tank top and red, green and blue floral print slacks with a blue background.
Amal also had a tan purse on her shoulder and wore oversized sunglasses. Her long raven locks were worn down over her shoulders in soft waves making her look nicely glammed.
She was likely holding onto Ella who was dressed in a white tank top and blue leggings.

Amal Clooney looked her usual stylish self as she touched down in Italy with her husband George and their adorable twins. Whether she’s on the red-carpet, or off-duty, we can’t get enough of her inimitable dress sense!
One thing for sure is the fact Amal is certainly not shy of a loud print or bold shade! Just take these jazzy trousers for instance, which are from the Talbot Runhof spring/summer ’18 collection.
We love the blue hue and retro-inspired floral print reminiscent of sixties style patterns, which is perfectly in keeping with Amal’s penchant for all things vintage.
If you want to steal a slice of Amal’s much-coveted wardrobe, then click right to shop these jazzy bottoms at Farfetch. Style with wedges and a vest top for a perfect summer outfit!

Sardinia is a large Italian island in the Mediterranean Sea and is over 500 miles from Clooney's villa in Lake Como.
This is the first time the couple has been seen together since they donated $100,000 to the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights.
The Monuments Men actor and the legal eagle have revealed they are doing what they can to help migrant children who have been separated from their families.
The couple donated the whopping sum to the non-profit organization.
George and Amal made the decision after saying they couldn’t sit by and do nothing in the face of the refugee crisis, especially when they’re parents of young children themselves.

For the famous couple, it comes as just one of their recent good deeds, as in February they also donated $500,000 to the March For Our Lives campaign, which was demonstration to advocate for gun control.
The gesture by the Clooneys came just before President Donald Trump on Wednesday afternoon signed an executive order ending family separation at the border.
The president, in an abrupt U-turn on the divisive policy put into place by his own administration, directed the Department of Homeland Security to detain families together so long as children are not put into danger.
'I didn't like the sight or the feeling of families being separated,' the president on Wednesday stated.
It was widely reported that his daughter Ivanka and his wife Melania put pressure on him to sign the order.

Olbia, 24 June 2018 - While filming the series Catch-22 continues at the former Venafiorita airport, George Clooney continues his private life in Gallura in the splendid villa of Puntaldia.
The actor, always reluctant to a certain type of spotlight, enjoys Sardinia as an ordinary person - although privileged. Yesterday, they landed with a private flight to the General Aviation of Olbia his closest family: his wife, Amal Alamuddin Clooney - well known and respected lawyer specializing in international law, and the parents of the American actor.
Family days for George Clooney who, together with Amal Alamuddin, recently donated 100 thousand dollars to migrant children separated from their parents. The donation recipient association is the Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights.

I'm glad Nick and Nina are with them. They've been doing quite a bit of traveling lately - not easy at their age, so it's a sign to me that they're both doing well. I hope they have a long, relaxing summer with George and the twins. I wonder if Ada and her kids will spend any time with them? That would make a great family vacation.

Re: George and Amal Clooney arrive in Sardinia Today
Yes. It’s really nice Nick especially can still travel. Nick and Nina must love their time with Amal, George and the twins. After all these years there must be such joy seeing George with his own children. From the clip I saw of the Toronto interview and previously the AFI tribute it seems like there is true affection between Nick and Nina and their daughter-in-law.

There definitely is and seems to have been affection from the moment they met her. It is nice they can all enjoy time together as family, I bet Nick and Nina are enjoying their littlest grandchildren. They must be so proud of George as a dad.
