That George Clooney loves Italy, it's a fact. The famous actor and director has lived for years in Laglio, on the shores of Lake Como, and - often - chooses our country for his holidays. Only in recent days, for example, he was surprised in Sardinia with his wife Amal Alamuddin.

The villa for the holidays on Lake Como, the wedding in Venice, the shooting in Olbia of "Comma 22", the first TV series that sees him in the guise of producer: George Clooney, of Italy, is to say the least in love. In May he had been surprised in the surroundings of his home in Laglio, where he had returned on the occasion of his birthday. While last weekend, after a short English break for Prince Harry's wedding with Meghan Markle, careful paparazzi surprised him in Sardinia.

On the famous Italian island, George Clooney has been in truth for some time - though not constantly - for his latest project. This time, however, it would seem that the occasion was more than anything playful: together with the beautiful wife (but without the twins), the American actor was photographed in Porto San Paolo, sitting at an outdoor table in the Il Portolano restaurant (while a few days before he had been paparazzi, along with Hugh Laurie, while he tasted meats and cheeses before making some purchases for his family).

But what does it offer, a holiday in the Sardinian resort of Porto San Paolo? Reachable from Olbia in a few minutes, but also from the Golfo degli Aranci, it is the ideal starting point to go to discover - starting from its characteristic port - of the Tavolara Island. Renting a boat and circumnavigating this wonderful limestone formation is an unmissable activity for those who go on holiday in this area. With a height that reaches 500 meters, the Tavolara has rocks overlooking the sea: as a rule, it is docked at Punta Spalmatore for a swim in the crystalline waters that surround it.

But, from Porto San Paolo, you can also discover the most beautiful beaches of Gallura: Porto Istana is perfect for families with children, thanks to the slow grading of water; the Three Sisters Beach and the Doctor's Beach, to the north of Capo Ceraso, are instead two splendid coves surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub; finally, closer to the town, is Costa Corallina, a tourist center equipped inside a suggestive natural bay.
