George Clooney reportedly has a wise suggestion for women told to lose weight: “Tell them to go f*** yourself.”

According to Once and Again actress and writer Julia Whelan, who once shared the small screen with Clooney during a brief stint on the television show ER, Clooney has strong feelings about the pressures actresses face to achieve a certain body type.

On Friday, Whelan penned a Twitter thread about her experience overhearing an on-set conversation between Clooney and another person, allegedly about co-star Julianna Margulies being asked to lose weight.

Whelan, who did not respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s request for comment, set the scene by describing her interaction with Clooney, which was nothing short of swoon-worthy.
