The 56-year-old actor was spotted touching down at LAX Airport and making his way to his ride on Saturday (July 15) in Los Angeles.
George rocked a leather jacket, orange-tinted shades, and an orange and white hat featuring his and Rande Gerber‘s Casamigos tequila company‘s logo.
The couple just gave birth to twins Alexander and Ella last month – and one of them apparently has George‘s nose!

I'm guessing there's plenty of family and friends around in Como while he's away. Somebody has to pay the bills.

Maybe he's back for some last minute work on 'Suburbican' with Grant or another one of their proposed productions.
I read somewhere a few weeks ago that Kirstin Dunst will start work on the cable movie (can't remember the name of it) in September that Smokehouse is producing.

PP - Can't say I agree with either one of you. IMO he does look fit and tanned - but to me he also looks a lot older than he is. The bright white facial fuzz doesn't help, either. I think George's tan is courtesy of pool time in Sonning and Como.
He looks good in my eyes. Older? Not any more so than he looked a year or two ago. But he does look older than his age. I don't think the goatee thingy helps. Charisma? I think you either have or you don't. George has always had it IMO.

The weather in the UK has been steaming for quite a few weeks and forecasts for this week are heading towards 30 degrees C again. Despite being an island the humidity has always been high too - so maybe he escaped to Como to cool off! He's always had the olive skin tone anyway hasn't he and I read a photographer's blog recently which said the most he ever wants for close ups is 'grease'

The tan is probably from England and Italy he is usually tan in the summer. By winter he will be pale again.

George never looked really young, he aged quickly and looked older than his age. If you remember how fast his hair grew grey - he was just in his 30s, he also had wrinkles very early.
So if you just compare him with Brad Pitt: Brad isn't much younger but looks at least ten years younger than George. Yes, the white beard makes him look older - but still damn sexy for me...

Carolhathaway - The premature gray hair is genetic. I think the wrinkles come from probably way too much time in the sun. I also think his health problems haven't helped. I bet he's tired of having to worry about his looks.
I wonder how long he'll be staying in LA. It must have been hard leaving the twins in Italy. At least he'll get some sleep while he's here.

Lizzy, I know what you mean. I can still see 'it,' though.
I think he's hanging on to a look that's he's used to, but that's maybe not for him anymore. Gray will age a thin face more than a full one. Plus, the facial scruff needs to cover more of his chin, not just the center, and not so much longer there. And he looks much, much better with fuller hair than a shorter cut, IMO. He's out of balance. I think he needs to keep the Omega stylist around full time. They bring out the best in him, it seems.

Tom Cruise just turned fifty-five. He and George don't even seem like contemporaries.
Brad Pitt is 54 or thereabouts, I think. But I have no problem taking him for his age, or older. He's not 'boyish' anymore, which is fine with me (maybe partly because of the alcohol?), but for a while he also lost his swagger, which goes for a lot in my book, and he aged up quickly, I think.

Way2Old - Gotcha! I agree with pretty much everything you said - and I especially agree that he's still got "it" and probably always will because it's not just about looks - it's about charisma, which he's got enough of for ten people. Also agree that Brad seems to have aged fairly quickly - but he's had a rough few months, so maybe it's as much stress as the booze and weed. Maybe he'll bounce back when his life normalizes. (I wonder how many of the men his age who still look "great" have had work done?)
I do wonder if George works at keeping the weight off. Is he watching his diet/weight for health reasons or does he think it makes him look better/younger? Or is he so thin as a result of (again) health problems? I think the aging process seemed to accelerate after "Syriana".
I do wish he'd ditch the fuzz. IMO it just looks silly and makes him look older than he has to.

The weight thing is probably a combination of genetics, health (he doesn't want to carry around a lot of weight on a bad back, for instance), and the theory that thin looks better onscreen. Somebody needs to disabuse him of the notion that it makes him look younger.

Well, it probably won't be his wife. I doubt she ever gained an unwanted ounce. I don't know if he actually thinks being thin makes hm look younger (although the on-screen weight thing might be a factor) so much as it's a combination of getting older and not being able to work out the way you have to to have a buff physique.

Stress can do wreak havoc on your body. No matter how happy they are parenting takes a toll... nannies or not. They are your babies and suddenly things that you never thought of become front and center. I am a late in life mother and the past few years really aged me. Money or not... parenting isn't easy. Lots of change for the couple
