George and Amal Clooney are not dealing with “baby drama” as they await the arrival of their twins, despite a tabloid report. Gossip Cop can separate the facts from the fiction.
According to a so-called “source” quoted in the current edition of Life & Style, “there’s already drama” between the parents-to-be, even though Amal isn’t “due for months.” The gossip magazine’s supposed snitch claims problems are arising because while she’s “cool” with the upcoming delivery, George is a “nervous wreck, and it’s starting to freak her out.” As is the case with many first-time parents, the outlet accuses the actor of “over-researching on the internet.”
Now George is “afraid of everything, including what can go wrong in hospitals,” maintains the publication’s “source,” who also asserts he’s “interfering in the nursery.” The tabloid’s alleged tipster contends the Oscar winner has himself worked up over “outlets, cribs being safe enough, how low the mobiles hang.” That sounds like the typical concerns of any new parent, but the spy insists George is taking the “jitters to a whole new level!”
But is that really “drama,” as the magazine is trying to sell it? Aside from saying Amal is now “freaked out,” the outlet doesn’t describe anything actually dramatic. And the notion that it’s problematic George is “interfering” with the nursery is ridiculous. It’s his kids. It’s his house. How is contributing to baby-proofing the room considered interfering?
It seems Life & Style just took two basic ideas and sensationalized them: The Clooneys are expecting and parents usually have fears and a learning curve before becoming parents for the first time. So they’re “making stuff up” about the pair experiencing those issues, a reliable contact tells Gossip Cop. The tabloid is embellishing, which we suppose is better than telling outright lies, because the publication has done that on more than one occasion.
In 2014, for example, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for a cover story falsely claiming Amal was pregnant, which she definitely wasn’t back then. That same year, another cover story was printed wrongly alleging George and Amal were divorcing after 87 days of marriage. With fabrications like that, there’s little reason to trust the tabloid now with its “baby drama” tale.
