George to visit Yerevan April 2017 for Aurora Prize 2.12.16

George Clooney wishes to visit Yerevan in 2017 too

Arman Jilavyan, CEO of the “Aurora” Prize Project, informed that the Hollywood star George Clooney wishes to come to Yerevan in 2017 too to attend the “Aurora” award.  Arman Jilavyan said this during the press conference in Matenadaran on November 30.  “Right from the very first year of our partnership with him, we realized that he is a very normal person and very easy to work with.  Coming to Armenia, he is working 24 hours,” said Jilavyan.  He mentioned that George Clooney was excited and interested in knowing Armenia.  Arman Jilavyan expressed hoped that nothing will obstacle Clooney’s visit.  Note that Clooney was chairing the Selection Committee during the first “Aurora” award ceremony held this year.

This is now due to happen on May 28th. Will George do a 24 hour visit? Or will the twins have just been born? A touch close isn't it?

Maybe George might do a quickie visit. It is cutting it close .... especially if twins generally come early. I still say Amal may not be due until the end of June.

Looks like Dr. Tom Catena was picked as a finalist again for this award. He was a finalist last year.

Mm, I noticed that.  I'm guessing he must still be there in those awful conditions. As I understand it most aid workers' contracts only last six months because of the appalling stress involved. I hope he wins
