The tequila was flowing at the Sunset Tower Bar in Los Angeles during a celebration for Amal Clooney.

The human rights lawyer, who turned 38 last Wednesday, partied on Friday with her husband George Clooney, 52, and the couple's close friends Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford.

The four friends appeared to be "having a blast," according to an onlooker, as they drank Casamigos tequila – the brand owned by Clooney, Gerber and Mike Meldman.

The onlooker says the couple even stayed for dessert at the Sunset Boulevard hotspot.

After they filled out the dessert menu, they checked the box at the bottom that says, "Buy the kitchen a six pack of beer."

Apparently, they crossed out "six pack of beer" and wrote "bottle of Casamigos" instead.

It's been a busy week for the Clooneys as Amal flew to Los Angeles last weekend to join her husband on the red carpet for the premiere of his latest movie, Hail Caeser.

Also last week, George revealed in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that his proposal to Amal went horribly because she didn't realize he was popping the question.

And a fair amount of Casamigos was reportedly imbibed when George Clooney celebrated his lovely wife Amal's 38th birthday, two days late, at the Sunset Tower Bar in Los Angeles on Friday evening, according to People.
The couple were joined by their best pals Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford.

And they appeared to be 'having a blast;' a source told the magazine.
George co-owns the Casamigos brand with Rande and real estate tycoon Mike Meldman.


The group enjoyed drinks and dessert at the chi-chi bar, which has a cheeky box at the bottom of the menu that says: 'Buy the kitchen a six pack of beer.' 
They crossed out beer and wrote 'bottle of Casamigos' instead, according to the source.

Aside from her birthday, George and Amal have had a busy week.
The human rights lawyer jetted into Los Angeles to be by her 52-year-old husband's side for the premiere of his new comedy, Hail! Caesar, which opened wide on Friday.
Set in the 1950s Golden Era of Hollywood, George plays a movie star who is snatched from the set of the Ancient Rome film by a gang who demand $100,000 for his return.
The actor went on the promo trail for the Coen brothers' send up, appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Ellen Degeneres among other shows.

The film came in second at the weekend box office, earning $11.4 million, behind Kung Fu Panda 3, which took in $21 million, according to Variety.
But Universal, the studio behind the movie, have high hopes that it will have 'long legs,' the showbiz term for something that performs well in the long term.
'The Coen brothers are legitimate auteur filmmakers,'  Universal distribution chief Nicholas Carpo told Variety on Sunday. 'They have a loyal fan base that is coming out to see this movie.' 
George and Amul will likely be flying off to Germany soon for another red carpet event. Hail! Caesar will open the 66th Berlin International Film Festival on Thursday

The 49-year-old supermodel was spotted leaving The Sunset Tower Restaurant in West Hollywood with her husband, 53, moments after George, 54, and Amal, 38, exited.
The foursome are often seen spending time together, which is no surprise considering Rande and George have known each for 20 years.

Amal, who recently rang in her 38th birthday on February 3, looked lovely in a black sleeveless blouse, sporting her brunette hair in curls and bold crimson lipstick.
Two decades ago, George stopped by Rande's New York City bar for drinks and since then, the two have remained friends, according to a People Magazine interview.
The businessman revealed to the magazine about that night: 'We had a couple of drinks. We started hanging out. We just enjoyed each other's company.'

The cover girl filmed a recreation with the 37-year-old host, who wore a matching outfit consisting of shorts and a white vest, for the Sunday episode of his late night show. 
The ageless beauty looked incredible in the classic combination, showing off her toned legs and fit frame.
