OMG! George sings. Briefly.
Miley has such a lovely voice. And she looks very pretty in her holiday attire. Too bad she usually parades herself on stage in freaky, and often inappropriate getups. Distracts from her talent sadly.

It's good that George dares to sing in it, and he really hasn't a bad singing vouce. Bill isn't a natural talent when it comes to singing either... But this doesn't have to mean that it's actually bad. I mean, I love 'Mamma Mia' as a movie, and Pierce Brosnan is actually a desaster as a singer, but he does it with so much fun and enthusiasm that it doesn't really matter although it's a musical!

Love this. None of the, apart from Miley I think, is known for brilliant singing, and everyone just looks as if they're having fun. Very Christmassy.
Is it me, or does it seem in a couple of shots as though His Nibs is suffering a bit with his back? His movements are very careful sometimes...........

What seems fun about the special is that none of the stars are singers. Except Miley. Right PAN. No one takes themselves too seriously. And it does look so festive. It reminds me of a 1970s musical/comedy variety tv show (like Dean Martin).
PAN, George looks fine to me. But we see so little of him in this clip. No way of knowing,
We can check him out more closely when the special airs.

I cannot tell a lie...I'm just not a big fan of American Shmalzzz....Don't know why....it just reminds me of Andy Williams et al, all living THE DREAM in a Christmas sweater....or the kellogg cornflake ads when I was a kid, "From the richest state in the worlds richest county USA, comes Kellogg Cornflakes" to paraphrase....UGH/PUKE!!!!
America has grown up since then....IF I was Mrs C/Manager/PR Guru, I would have advised against it....I don't see any upside out of this, quiet the reverse....IMHO...
Hope I'm wrong...really, really hope I'm wrong....

Re: Trailer 2 'A Very Murray Christmas' December 1, 2015
Read a review of the show in The New York Times paper today. Just barely Ok. "It tries hard - too hard, really - to turn melancholy into a thing, and it winds up being a holiday special for the disillusioned and dejected, full of inside jokes but in the end kind of empty."
On a song performed by George and Bill: "And Mr. Murray and Mr. Clooney reach a level of ridiculousness not seen since "Pee-Wee's Playhouse Christmas Special when they combine on "Santa Claus Wants Some Lovin". "But that outlandish number is an exception." I think the reviewer considered the duet a highlight of the show.
The rest of the show "corners the market on gloomy".
One man's opinion. I hope to watch it tomorrow night.

Bill Murray on Singing With George Clooney in ‘A Very Murray Christmas’
“George is the best. The stuff he does in the show, [he did] without any encouragement and he gave us so much,” said Murray. “He’s so solid. He does this funny kind of shrug [while singing] and the guy’s got the most beautiful shrug in the business.”

WWHS - So sorry the grumps have got hold of you! I hope you can shake it off and enjoy the holiday season. There must be something out there that can make you smile. I hope there is and you find it soon! What Would He Say wrote:

I think you're wrong about George doing this. First, it's a favor for a friend - and when did he ever say "No" to that - and how does that make him look bad?
Second, so what if it's really a retro-schmaltzy X-Mas special? It's a bunch of talented people acting silly and trying to entertain people and bring a smile or two. I don't think any of them expect it to be the highlight of their career, do you? It's just for fun. Even if it stinks it won't ruin anyone.
Sometimes I think we all take everything too seriously.

Re: Trailer 2 'A Very Murray Christmas' December 1, 2015
I just watched the whole show on Netflix and I loved it! I won't spoil it for anyone, but WWHS has nothing to worry about. It's about as far from an Andy Williams special as you can get - quirky and off-beat and totally Bill Murray!
I don't know what the Times critic said, or why they didn't like the show, but I enjoyed it a lot . Maybe you have to have gone through something like that snowstorm to appreciate it.
George isn't in it for too long, but he has nothing to be ashamed about. I'd say more, but don't want to spoil it for anyone.

PAN - Isn't Netflix available where you are? Maybe you can try Googling "Netflix.com". If you find it you'll probably have to join in order to see the show.

Just watched it. I think the best part was Bill's dream sequence. That's when George shows up. Looks like George can make a mean martini! Didn't see it so gloomy as the Times writer led on that it was.
Don't want to say too much until after more people have seen it. Check out the bottle of Casamigos on top of the piano in the bar.

Bill, Sofia Coppola and Mitch Glazer were at the Marrakesh Film Festival last night. Wonder if they went via London and met up with George...........

George needs a brolly? Clouds? Messy mass? I see a man basking in sunshine. Outwardly expressing happiness with his life.
