I don't see any reference to George in that link.

Did anyone click on the link in the tweet? There's a slideshow of her work and some subtext about this picture. It was taken in George's LA home. And he made pasta for lunch. And the photographer says it's the best pasta! I hope I referenced the photographer correctly as a "she".

You're right, Donna,
it's a very strange perspective. I'm glad he didn't wear those shoes he always wears with his jeans...LOL

Sorry,
it was it's me who mentioned the strange perspective, not Donnamarie. I got it wrong!

That's ok carolhathaway. I agree with its me. It is a strange perspective. You would never know that was George in the shot if the photographer hadn't mentioned it. But as a photographer I guess you're always looking for a different angle and perspective when you are capturing your subject. And as well known a face as George has I find it telling that she focused on his shoes.

I really like photographers who are creative on how to shoot photos. I liked the ones Martin Schoeller took with him and also those Annie Leibowitz made in this white tux.
I always love monochrome photos with him because I think he looks much more intense and present. Many people don't look good in a non-colored photo, but George is one of those who - for me - just stands out.
BTW: We just watched a black-and-white movie called "One, Two, Three" by Billy Wilder which is my husband's absolute favourite movie. And my kids watched it as well, and they thought our tv was damaged because there was no color...

carolhathaway I love black and whites in general. And I agree black and whites of George I find far more interesting. And sexy too. He does have an intensity that comes through the eyes that I find particularly appealing. Black and whites strip away distractions and to me show more of the soul.
Anyway I had not heard of this Wilder film, One, Two, Three but just checked it out on Imbd. A bit of trivia it mentioned was that the Berlin Wall was literally being built while they were filming in Berlin. Just want to mention that I saw A Bridge of Spies with Tom Hanks a week ago. Excellent film (Spielberg directed). Based on a true story and in the film there are scenes in Berlin covering the time when the wall was being erected. Hope you get a chance to see it.
Off topic I know. Back to the picture of George's shoes. They looked like new shoes BTW.

Yes, they really looked new. And elegant.
I agree, it's George's eyes.
I very much love the photo on top of this website. Although he doesn't look into the camera his eyes dominate the photo, not his smile.
