Hollywood royalty George Clooney shows he is a Prince among men.

Here he’s taking a pal for a spin in little red Corvette, just like the one rocker Prince sang about in 1983.
The 54-year-old heart-throb is used to getting women’s motors running but on Thursday he was popping out with a pal for sushi in Los Angeles.

And it seems like George has a lot in common with the sleek 1958 car made by Chevrolet.

Both are getting on a bit but have classic good looks and are great ­performers and convertible.
Last year the Gravity star waved goodbye to his bachelor status and broke ­millions of hearts by marrying lawyer Amal ­Alamuddin, 37.




Perhaps his wife should not listen to Prince song’s lyrics as it’s about a fast woman. But we’re sure George has slowed down and handles superbly.

Not sure, Jo, confused with the other story that it was his dad's 'courting' car, and it's cost a fortune to maintain since his dad gave it to him.

Yes it's that one pan thanks. The colour of it in that 
photo is a bit misleading.
Those elderly cars need a run out occasionally to keep them alive.

But George Clooney's news anchor father Nick must be proud to see how well his boy is looking after the red Chevrolet Corvette V8 C1 convertible he bought in 1958.

The actor was spotted taking a pal for a spin in the immaculate vintage car after dinner at Kazu Sushi in the Studio City neighbourhood of Los Angeles on Thursday evening.

The 54-year-old is a well-known auto enthusiast who also drives a gleaming grey Lexus and a black Porsche Carrera as well as a tiny two seater electric Tango 600 plus various motorbikes.



But it's a fair bet the family 'Vette has pride of place in his heart.

It's a much-in-demand classic now with enthusiasts going to great lengths to restore their cars to their original glory.
